University of Alabama-Huntsville Parking Structure

Chapman Sisson Architects of Huntsville collaborated with Banker Wire, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of wire mesh for architectural and industrial applications, to design attractive and unique mesh panels for the front of a new parking structure at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The material selected for the panels was Banker Wire’s M13Z-145 architectural woven wire mesh, a heavy, large scale, and rigid cable weave design.

Alliance Safety Council Headquarters

The Alliance Safety Council in Baton Rouge, LA is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving safety in the workplace. Although initially providing services only in Louisiana, members have taken the organization to a broader market through nationwide safety programs. A new 32,000 sq. ft. headquarters helps the organization meet its goals both locally and beyond. Featured on the building’s exterior are metal composite material wall panels from Citadel Architectural Products.

Columbus State University Student Recreation Center

Though paid for through private funding and student fees, there was no need to skimp on quality as far as the construction of the new Columbus State University Student Recreation Center was concerned. School officials raised $26 million for the project, guaranteeing the 106,000 sq. ft. facility had all the features students wanted and a look befitting its campus location. In addition to limestone accent walls, the exterior of the recreation center features ALPOLIC aluminum composite metal wall panels fabricated by Altech Panels Systems.

Arlington Capital View Renaissance and Residence Inn

Two of Marriott International’s newest hotel offerings are the first hospitality industry projects in Arlington County, Virginia to earn LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The $119 million, 14-story Arlington Capital View Renaissance and Residence Inn were the first new hotels to be built in Crystal City in the past decade. Featured on the exterior of the two-hotels-under-one-roof development were sleek metal wall panels fabricated from Alcoa Architectural Products' Reynobond® ACM.

Cowley County College/Travis Hafner Training Center

Conco Construction completed construction on the $3.3 million indoor sports facility for Cowley County Community College, located in Arkansas City, KS, in November 2011 using metal building systems from American Buildings Company.

Fort Hood Chapel Complex & Religious Education Facility

The new Chapel Complex & Religious Education Facility at Fort Hood, Texas provides non-denominational space for religious and community activities. The 42,000 sq. ft. facility, featuring Petersen metal roofing, has received LEED Gold certification.

Mammel Hall College Of Business Administration

The Mammel Hall College of Business Administration building is a significant source of pride at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, and not just because it’s the first building on campus to earn LEED® Gold Certification. The $34 million facility – featuring a variety of architectural metal products from CENTRIA - serves as a striking gateway to the main campus, while providing state-of-the-art instructional facilities.

Clarian Saxony Medical Center

In 1963, the population of Fishers, IN was around 350 people. Today, the city is home to more than 75,000. Despite such growth, Fishers had never had its own hospital until late in 2011 when the $190 million Clarian Saxony Medical Center opened its doors to patients. In its design of the acute care facility, HKS Architects of Dallas incorporated approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of Metl-Span insulated metal wall systems.

Arden Realty Building

More than 36,000 sq. ft. of Citadel’s Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM) highlight a major renovation of Arden Realty’s office building in Irvine, CA. The panels were finished in Clear Anodized and Shasta White and installed using the Reveal (RV) System, a field-assembled attachment method utilizing perimeter moldings.

Orioles Park At Camden Yards - Upgrades

2012 marked the 20th anniversary of Orioles Park at Camden Yards and the Baltimore Orioles had a newly upgraded ballpark to mark the historic occasion thanks to MetFab, a Drexel Metals Company. Camden Yards used to be the railroad center of Baltimore, Maryland and has since transformed into a beautiful baseball facility where families can go to on summer afternoons to watch the Orioles play ball.

UVA Rice Hall

While the school’s history is at the core of its identity, the University of Virginia has maintained its status as one of America’s top public universities by having a clear forward vision. The university's Rice Hall forms a bridge between the campus’ historic structures and the building’s modern mission. The building's exterior is a combination of brick and glass adorned with ALPOLIC aluminum composite material from Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America.

M2 On Neil Street

M2 on Neil is a nine-story, mixed-use building. A $40 million project —the largest ever for downtown Champaign, Illinois, M2 on Neil was designed and built to revitalize the downtown area. The purpose of this project was to draw more business owners and residents downtown, returning the area to the center of city life. Products from CENTRIA played important roles in the creation of the facility.

Station 8 Firehouse - St. Petersburg, FL

Drexel Metals knows how to put fires out! It proved it by providing a brand new Drexel Metals roof for the Station 8 firehouse in St. Petersburg, FL. The profile used for the project was the company's DMC 200S in Regal White.

Westminster Community College Gateway Center

Thanks to its modern design using a brilliant zinc-panel exterior that appears to float above a fieldstone foundation and vast expanse of windows, the Gateway Center presents a shining port of entry for students, many of whom are new immigrants to the United States. The zinc for the project, which is on the campus of Westchester Community College in New York, was provided by Umicore Building Products USA of Raleigh, NC.

Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 Union Hall

Charged with transforming the dilapidated manufacturing facility into a state-of-the-art office and training center was Treanor Architects of Lawrence, KS. It developed a plan for the project that incorporates the latest energy-efficient features including Metl-Span insulated metal wall panels.

Brookwood Women's Medical Center

The Brookwood Women’s Medical Center in Birmingham is the first hospital in Alabama devoted entirely to women. Designed exclusively to meet the needs of women and infants, the new 121,000 sq. ft. facility features 19 labor and delivery rooms, one water-birth suite, four operating rooms and 42 private mother-and-baby rooms with modern amenities.Incorporated into the design of the hospital's exterior was more than 14,000 square feet of Bright Silver Omega-Lite ACM wall panels by Laminators Incorporated.

Carpenters Training Center

With constant advancements and technological changes to the construction industry, it's imperative for carpenters to continuously advance their own skills in order to remain competitive. The Greater Pennsylvania Regional Council of Carpenters made a significant investment in a new training center next to its 42,000-square-foot headquarters outside of Pittsburgh, with the help of architectural metal products from CENTRIA.

Ocean City Arts Center

The Ocean City Arts Center began as a modest fitness center with racquetball courts, and also included a natatorium and library. Located in Ocean City, NJ, the community center’s continued growth in popularity prompted city administrators and the library’s board of directors to initiate several renovations and additions in an effort to create a true community center. A high-performance standing seam metal roof system from The Garland Company Inc. is now featured on the facility.

Missouri Gas Energy

The new St. Joseph service center for Missouri Gas Energy was designed to optimize energy efficiency, resulting in the project’s submission for LEED Gold certification. The 11,420 sq. ft. building utilized Rigid Frame and Unibeam Lean-To framing from Varco Pruden Buildings, along with modified fascia framing on the south eave to support solar-collecting panels.
