Riddle Hospital Health Center 4

Riddle Hospital’s new Health Center 4, located on the hospital’s campus in Media, PA, combines patient-centered design and environmentally friendly features. The $40 million, 80,000 sq. ft. medical office building embodies today’s best practices for creating new healthcare facilities. And like so many of today’s newest healthcare projects, metal wall panels—in this case from Metl-Span—are featured on its exterior.

Slidell Cancer Center

Completed in December 2010, the new Slidell Cancer Center in Slidell, LA, was designed to meet the region’s cancer treatment needs now and well into the future. Developed by Slidell Memorial Hospital, the $20 million, three-story project features 51,000 sq. ft. of space, with nearly one third dedicated to future use. The building's exterior features a mix of materials, including ALPOLIC aluminum composite material panels fabricated by Altech Panel Systems.

Lodi Memorial Hospital, South Wing Extension

Since Lodi Memorial Hospital opened its doors in 1952, the hospital has evolved to meet the growing and changing needs of the community. Population growth and other factors led to the construction of a new four-story, 130,000-square-foot South Wing, offering 90 new patient beds, a new emergency department, an expanded birthing center and the latest diagnostic, imaging and medical technologies. CENTRIA products played a key part in the project.

Family Life Center At Central Presbyterian Church

After finding that it was landlocked, the historic Central Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Alabama, had purchased the Cooper House, one of the oldest homes in the Twickenham Historical District. Now called the Family Life Center, the renovated Cooper House fits the church’s goals for expansion. Renovations included standing seam roofing and a rainwater system by Ornametals Manufacturing, LLC, using natural VMZINC®.

Regions Hospital

Over its more than 130-year existence, Regions® Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, has built a reputation as a world-class trauma and emergency center. To ensure that reputation is maintained well into the future, the hospital's board embarked on a mission to build a five-story addition with a hotel-like atmosphere and VIP-type amenities. Among the materials featured on the addition's exterior are Reynobond® ACM from Alcoa Architectural Products.

Randall B. Terry Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center

The Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center ushers in a new era in veterinary medicine at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in Raleigh. Known as the Terry Center, the 110,000 sq. ft. facility is clad with more than 100,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD steel and aluminum panels in a variety of systems and profiles.

Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School

The Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School is the first new elementary school constructed in Columbia, MO in more than nine years and introduces an innovative prototype. The 69,000 sq. ft. facility is organized around a gently sweeping arc with four separate wings. Three wings consist of shared learning “pods” and the fourth wing includes administration, cafeteria and gymnasium. Metal wall panels from Citadel were among the building's standout cladding materials.

Lancaster Public Safety Building

The Lancaster Public Safety Building is a contemporary structure that houses the Lancaster, Texas police and fire departments, which serve the citizens of Lancaster and portions of Dallas County. CENTRIA’s Profile Series IW Series concealed fastener profiles provided the facility with an overall clean, unbroken, contemporary appearance. CENTRIA Concept Series CS660E with MicroSeam Corners also contributed to the facility’s seamless appearance.

Columbus Ice Rink

Through form and materials, the new Columbus Ice Rink melds the contemporary with the traditional. The dominant products showcased on the exterior are brick, aluminum composite material (ACM) and glass. The ACM was ALPOLIC from Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America Inc. of Chesapeake, VA.

Fletcher Jones Audi/Volkswagen

The complete renovation of Fletcher Jones Audi/Volkswagen in Chicago is a striking example of the use of Dri-Design’s new Texture Series panels to provide a uniquely accented design element. The Audi portion of the dealership has been re-faced with the exciting new product, while the Volkswagen side of the building is now skinned with conventional Dri-Design rainscreen metal panels. The total amount of Dri-Design products used on the project was approximately 15,000 sq. ft.

Walton On The Park

Rising in the midst of its elegant Beaux-Arts neighbors, Walton on the Park adds a distinctly modern flavor to Chicago's fashionable Gold Coast neighborhood. Commissioned by one of Chicago's leading residential developers, Walton on the Park exemplifies cutting-edge architecture tempered with respect for the landmark structures around it. The challenge issued to architects Pappageorge Haymes of Chicago, IL, was to create a mixed-use building and residential tower to house more than 400 ultra-spacious, luxurious residential units. Featured on the building’s exterior is Reynobond aluminum composite material from Alcoa Architectural Products.

ASU Walter Cronkite School Of Journalism And Mass Communication

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation helped create a stunning metal envelope for Arizona State University’s distinguished Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Phoenix, AZ. The 223,000 square foot, six-story, multi-level facility is home to offices, retail space, restaurants, 17 media-equipped classrooms, seven computer labs, and seven professional newsrooms. The building also houses one of the country’s largest PBS stations, KAET Channel Eight.

Jacksonville International Airport – North Concourse A

The Jacksonville International Airport planned a major terminal expansion project to provide for the needs of its airlines, staff and passengers. The execution of this long-term project is divided into multiple phases. Stage 3, the concourse replacement phase, focused on reconstructing the 40-year old Concourses A and C to increase functionality and design. In this portion of the project, North Concourse A, architectural metal products from CENTRIA are prominently featured.

Florida Blue Center - Miami

Blue Cross and Blue Shield’s Florida Blue Centers are designed to encourage personal interaction between customers and their health care provider. The Centers offer benefits consultations, financial planning assistance, and tools to learn more about individual healthcare options. The Cambridge Architectural mesh systems featured in the facilities serve appropriately as structural shields for protecting the Centers’ functions.

Westminster High School

With decorative appeal in mind, H & L Architecture of Denver, CO, utilized a variety of materials on the exterior of the new Westminster High School in Westminster, CO. Among the cladding materials were 26,000 square feet of Bright Silver Omega-Lite aluminum composite panels, manufactured by Laminators Incorporated.

Surf Mall

Reviving a historic site is always rewarding. But a historic reroof project is truly successful when those involved recognize that they don’t have to recreate history—they can improve it. The Surf Mall in Ocean City, NJ, recently became the enhanced highlight of the Ocean City boardwalk because of a new metal roof from Drexel Metals, Inc., Ivyland, PA.

McIntosh School Of Nursing

The J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing offers a unique educational environment, created through a partnership between Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. The 44,000 sq. ft. facility, which houses Northeast Community College’s nurse and nurse aid programs plus the University of Nebraska College of Nursing’s undergraduate and graduate-level programs, has a masonry exterior trimmed with aluminum rainscreen wall panels by Dri-Design.

Saginaw Valley State University, Pioneer Hall

Saginaw Valley State University's Pioneer Hall continues to draw praise from students, staff and the surrounding Saginaw, Michigan community. Not only was Pioneer Hall the first "green" building on the Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) campus, it was also the first project in the northeastern and mid-Michigan areas to earn Silver certification under the LEED® Green Building Rating System™, thanks in part to curtainwall units manufactured by Tubelite Inc.

Hilton Baltimore Hotel

The Hilton Baltimore Hotel lies in the Inner Harbor area, a prime business, historic and cultural district in downtown Baltimore, Maryland, adjacent to the Baltimore Convention Center with direct covered access via pedestrian sky bridge. The 24-story hotel’s exterior features more than 200,000 square feet of CENTRIA metal panels. The building’s off-white and silver hues give the hotel a modern and upscale appearance and help it blend seamlessly with the connecting Convention Center.

Bertram and Judith Kohl Building - Oberlin College

The Bertram and Judith Kohl Building, the new home for the Jazz Studies Program at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, is a virtual rhapsody in Reynobond® ACM. Planning for a new building to house the rapidly growing Jazz Studies Program began in 2005. Recently completed, it is expected to soon become the nation's first LEED® Gold Music Studies building.
