Clopay® Contest Winner Receives Project Model Rendered From LEGO® Bricks

Mason, OH – At the 2023 AIA Conference on Architecture (A'23) in San Francisco, the Clopay® Corporation hosted Bricks ’n’ Lagers, a happy hour event that offered participants an opportunity to show their creativity building with LEGO bricks while enjoying complimentary beverages. A drawing held in conjunction with the event allowed one lucky attendee to win a special LEGO brick replica of one of their own architectural projects, to be created by LEGO brick artist Benjamin Radell. In August of last year, Michigan-based architect Michael Poris was selected as the winner and on February 14, he was presented with his model.

Construction Industry Adds 23,000 Jobs In February

Arlington, VA — The construction industry added 23,000 jobs in February—the most since August—as a strong gain in employment at nonresidential contractors offset a small decline at residential firms, according to an analysis of latest government data by the Associated General Contractors of America. Association officials noted that new figures on the number of job openings in the industry underscore the challenges firms are having finding enough qualified people to hire amid strong demand.

Equipment Finance Industry Confidence Rises In February

Washington, DC – The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation (the Foundation) has released the February 2024 Monthly Confidence Index for the Equipment Finance Industry (MCI-EFI). The index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions and expectations for the future as reported by key executives from the $1 trillion equipment finance sector. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market is 51.7, an increase from the January index of 48.6.
