All-Star Batting Range

A sports and entertainment facility in Southwest Connecticut may have patrons wondering, "Is this an old-fashioned baseball park, or a modern-day place to practice my home run prowess?" That's because All-Star Batting Range is a prime example of how truly non-traditional a metal building can be. Located in Brookfield, Conn., the Ceco Building Systems facility sports an exterior reminiscent of an old-fashioned baseball park.

Almac Group - North American Headquarters

Inspired by the company’s Irish roots, the design of the new North American headquarters building of Almac Group borrows elements from both North American and European office cultures. It borrows architectural elements as well, especially its zinc cladding. Approximately 35,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK prePATINA blue-grey Sinusoidal Corrugated Panels and 18,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK prePATINA blue-grey Horizontal Reveal Panels were utilized on the project, which is located in Souderton, PA.

Aloft Hotel - Chesapeake, VA

You won’t find Aloft Hotels everywhere, but someday you might. The chain launched in 2008 with the construction of its flagship hotel at the Trudeau International Airport in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Since that time, more than 50 additional Aloft Hotels have been built. Among them is the one in Chesapeake, VA. Completed in 2010, that hotel is distinguishable by the ALPOLIC ACM woven into both its interior and exterior design.

Alpha Brewing Company

Alpha Brewing Company recently took its business to the next level with a new, expanded headquarters in St. Louis that features a high-performance insulated metal panel façade by Metl-Span. At more than 13,000 square feet, the all-inclusive facility combines a taproom and restaurant with seating for approximately 300 patrons and the manufacturing capability to produce 3,000 barrels of beer annually.

Alpha Flying And Atlas Aircraft Center

The Alpha Flying (AFI) and Atlas Aircraft Center (APC) is a one-stop provider airport committed to servicing all its visitors' airport needs. For example, the full service spectrum facility offers general aviation uses such as aircraft storage, maintenance, repair and technical support. Located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the center houses a 40,000 square foot hangar (138’ wide x 286’ long) and a 44,000 square foot area for office space. The hangar utilizes 138’ clearspan straight column framing by Metallic Building Company.

Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School

The Alpha Hart Lewis Elementary School is the first new elementary school constructed in Columbia, MO in more than nine years and introduces an innovative prototype. The 69,000 sq. ft. facility is organized around a gently sweeping arc with four separate wings. Three wings consist of shared learning “pods” and the fourth wing includes administration, cafeteria and gymnasium. Metal wall panels from Citadel were among the building's standout cladding materials.

Alta High School Hawk House

A.D. Construction of Salt Lake City, UT was awarded Building Of The Year honors in the American Buildings Company (ABC) Building of the Year Excellence in Design Award presentation for their work on the Alta High School Hawk House in Sandy, UT. The project also took top honors in the competition's Recreation category.

Altar'd State

When creating a truly motivating retail experience, the dedication of every construction team member is needed. Millennium Interiors in Pottstown, Pa., shows commitment to its craft in all its jobs through its detailed work and corporate beliefs. This is evident in its work at Altar'd State, a women’s clothing boutique at The Promenade Shops at Soucon Valley in Central Valley, Pa., where curves were created with Flex-C Arch and Flex-C Trac from Flex-Ability Concepts.

Alton Hall Elementary School

Providing a safe and healthy environment for students is clearly a high-ranking consideration in the construction of an elementary school. Architects for the Alton Hall Elementary School in Galloway, Ohio recognized the need for snow retention and specified the Sno Barricade® from Sno Gem® Inc. to be attached to the standing seam roof.

Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum

The Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum in Atchison, KS, houses a rare replica of the plane Earhart flew. What is not a replica is the hangar's door. It was manufactured for the project by Schweiss Doors of Fairfax, MN. The star attraction is the last surviving Lockheed Electra 10-E airplane, one of only 14 ever made. It is identical to the aircraft Earhart flew on her fateful journey and attempt to be the first woman to ever circumnavigate the world.

American AgCredit’s new headquarters in Santa Rosa, CA speaks to the company’s ever-growing, ever-changing business model. The energy-efficient building, designed by TLCD Architecture, Santa Rosa, is distinctive for its curved forms and natural materials. Perforated Series Wall Panels from Dri-Design, made from VMZINC, add a timeless warmth, durability and beauty.

American Airlines Arena’s Digital Media Screen

When the NBA’s Miami HEAT Group decided to create a marquee on the exterior of its American Airlines Arena, the franchise wanted something that would not only draw attention to the arena itself, but also transform downtown Miami, FL. Made from 3,400 square feet of a high-grade architectural woven stainless steel mesh fabric with interwoven LED profiles, Miami’s Mediamesh® digital media screen, patented by GKD and ag4, provides visitors to the arena with unobstructed viewing from the interior and visually engaging digital media content on the exterior.

American Airlines Training & Conference Center

It’s a rare occasion when a newly constructed building is partially disassembled upon completion, but that is exactly what happened at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Not long after expansion construction was completed, a section of Green Span Profiles insulated metal panels was removed to accommodate the installation of eight different full-size flight simulators.

American Banjo Museum

A renovated, century-old warehouse in the historic Bricktown area of Oklahoma City, OK, is the new home of the American Banjo Museum which has moved from Guthrie, OK. The new $3.3 million, 21,000 sq. ft. facility features state-of-the-art exhibits tracing every chapter of the banjo’s story. Also on display is the Museum’s 300-piece instrument collection. Approximately 350 linear feet of Flex-C Trac® from Flex-Ability Concepts were used to create the art deco theme designed by Architectural Design Group, Inc., Oklahoma City.

AMLI Mark 24

The maritime history of a Seattle neighborhood was the inspiration behind the design for the AMLI Mark 24 multi-family project in Seattle, WA by GGLO Design. AEP Span’ architectural metal siding was selected to help achieve the design and earn LEED Silver Certification.

AMLI South Lake Union Apartments

When AMLI Residential planned its luxury apartment project along Seattle’s Lake Union waterfront, the design inspiration came from classic iconic transportation machines. Metal wall panels from AEP Span played a key role in bringing the design to life.

Amon Creek Elementary School

A well-designed school should foster a functional learning and work environment for students and staff while being a positive design element for the community. Amon Creek Elementary is the latest addition to the Kennewick School District in Richland, WA. The design team at MMEC Architecture, Spokane, WA, turned to Citadel Architectural Products’ Envelope 2000® RainScreen (RS) metal composite material (MCM) panels to create an inviting school with defined spaces.

Amway Center And Parking Garage

Orlando, Florida’s new Amway Center, home to the NBA’s Orlando Magic, is a key part of an overall strategic plan for continued revitalization of Orlando’s urban core, designed to make that area a recreation and dining destination. In addition to the Magic and NCAA basketball events, the multi-purpose design allows the arena to host hockey and arena football games, ice shows, concerts and many other special events. A wide range of products from CENTRIA are prominently featured on the facility.

Animal Care & Protective Services - Jacksonville

The new Animal Care and Protective Services building in Jacksonville, FL, is the city’s first LEED-certified project. The 41,000 sq. ft. facility is situated on a reclaimed brownfield site and has received LEED Gold Certification. The new facility offers increased capacity and quality of care, adoption areas, medical treatment areas and public education space. Approximately 12,500 sq. ft. of Petersen’s 24 gauge PAC-CLAD 7.2” Rib and Perforated 7.2” Rib panels helped to accomplish the design objectives.
