McLennan Residence

Most architects have visions of someday designing their dream home. For Jason F. McLennan, architect and CEO of McLennan Design, that dream has come true. Showcasing both his design talents and his commitment to sustainability, the Washington-based architect topped his recently completed, one-of-a-kind house with a Metal Sales metal roof that features Valspar's most sophisticated, most environmentally friendly paint finish.

Prospect Mountain High School

Surrounded by trees and rolling hills, Prospect Mountain High School is a beautiful, two-story brick building nestled in Alton, New Hampshire. It was built in 2004 and the shingle roof started to fail less than 10 years later, causing serious leaking inside the building. Rather than repair the shingle roof, the school chose to remedy the situation by retrofitting with a standing seam metal system from The Garland Company Inc.

Guide Dogs Of America Training Center

More than 200 volunteers, donors, guests and guide dog teams were on hand in December as Guide Dogs of America (GDA) unveiled its latest expansion in Sylmar, Calif. The new 16,000 square foot facility features a bifold liftstrap glass designer door from Schweiss Doors.

Irwin Seating Company

The Irwin Seating Company is an audience-seating manufacturer located just east of Lake Michigan. Irwin’s seats grace theaters and stadiums all around the world from Carnegie Hall in New York City to Dewan Filharmonik in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The fourth-generation family company planned to expand one of its top-selling product lines, which also required a facility increase - calling for architectural metal products from CENTRIA.

University Of Iowa Visual Arts Building

No stranger to the University of Iowa campus, architect Steven Holl’s new Visual Arts Building provides 126,000 sq. ft. of loft-like space within a beautifully crafted envelope. The structure presents an industrial aesthetic with RHEINZINK-clad, poured-in-place concrete walls, used in conjunction with perforated stainless-steel panels that rest 7 inches from the RHEINZINK cladding.

Heritage Elementary School - Tahlequah, Oklahoma

The expansive new 500-student pre-K thru 4th grade Heritage Elementary School in Tahlequah, Okla., was greatly needed by its growing community. The project, designed by Crafton Tull in Tulsa, features a curving spine element that provides the main circulation corridor off of which three major classroom “fingers” radiate. Nearly 87,000 sq. ft. of Petersen’s PAC-CLAD Galvalume Snap-Clad panels in 24 gauge steel were selected to roof the sprawling structure.

Issaquah Middle School

PPG and AEP Span have partnered to protect and enhance Issaquah Middle School in Issaquah, Washington, with metal wall panels using Duranar® GR (graffiti-resistant) clear coating. It is the first school in the country to use the new coating, which features a proprietary formulation that PPG developed to combat a problem that costs U.S. building owners an estimated $25 billion per year.

Lafayette College Bushkill Commons

The retrofit of Lafayette College’s Bushkill Commons is an example of adaptive building reuse, utilizing sustainable design, products, and energy efficiency. ATAS International's Isoleren insulated metal wall panels were incorporated into the building to help achieve those objectives. Completed in June 2017, the building was nominated for a Lehigh Valley Sustainability Award by the Lehigh Valley branch of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council.

Tivoli House

Architect Cameron McNall is known for incorporating fine art into his design concepts. His most recent project, the Tivoli House, is no exception. The home's uniqueness is due predominantly to the metal screen that conceals the front of the house. It was crafted from intricately cut ALPOLIC aluminum composite metal panels that were factory finished with Valspar paint.

The new Rocksport Indoor Climbing Facility features gentle challenges for the beginner, plenty of moderate terrain for the weekend warrior, and fierce overhang climbing for the expert. For the new building's exterior, the design and construction team picked something every bit as all-encompassing – insulated metal wall panels from Metl-Span.

Cleveland Browns Training Facility And Administrative Complex

Having the Cleveland Browns Training Facility and Administrative Complex located within its boundaries is a source of pride for the City of in Berea, Ohio and officials there are committed to keeping the team in it. To ensure the facility remains state-of-the-art, the city appropriated funds for renovations both inside and out. Panels from Laminators Inc. are among the products featured on a newly revamped exterior façade.

Hopewell Baptist Church

On November 1, 2016, the Hopewell Baptist Church building in Greenville, MS tragically burned down. Thanks to a nationwide show of support effort, aided by metal systems from Reed's Metals, the church was rebuilt by July 2017.

Duluth Transit Authority Multimodal Transportation Facility

The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) Multimodal Transportation Facility in Duluth, MN is changing the way people travel through the city’s downtown area as it caters to 6,000 commuters and 600 bus movements each day. The $30 million hub, featuring metal products from CENTRIA, includes a bus transit terminal with a large, multi-level parking structure, bicycle parking and more that lends itself to commuters of all types.

VA Medical Center - Louisville

With the original purchase of land approved by President Harry Truman in 1946, and construction completed in 1952, the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville has seen many changes over the years. None have been as dramatic as the new entryway that now greets patrons and families. The 12,600 sq. ft. expansion and renovation project creates a bold new image, partly due to the utilization of RHEINZINK titanium zinc as cladding.

Destin Commons Phase II Expansion

The major expansion of the Destin Commons shopping center in Destin, Fla., further establishes its reputation as a premier open-air lifestyle center offering the best in shopping, dining and entertainment on Florida’s Emerald Coast. The Phase II expansion, featuring PAC-CLAD metal roofing by Petersen, adds 100,000 sq. ft. to the 500,000 sq. ft. family-oriented shopping environment.

Marlboro Ridge Equestrian Center

The residents of the Marlboro Ridge Housing Community were promised equestrian facilities before the recession hit and brought the project to a halt about 10 years ago. Some things are worth waiting for and the Marlboro Ridge Equestrian Center's new stables prove it. Located in Upper Marlboro, MD, the award-winning facility has ample amenities and a beautiful appearance. Its exterior is largely metal, featuring two types of metal products from McElroy Metal.
