Westin Birmingham

The Westin is part of a master plan to create the Uptown Entertainment District at the existing Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, home to performing arts theaters, signature dining, 220,000 square feet of meeting space and the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame. In concert with the city’s vision for the entertainment district, the hotel’s bold design – featuring metal products from CENTRIA - leaves a lasting impression of luxury, sophistication and excitement.

Westin Jackson

The Westin Jackson is a 203-room hotel located near key downtown attractions in Jackson, MS. The building design communicates the area’s deep musical heritage with the help of CENTRIA products, metaphorically celebrating the birthplace of the Delta Blues and nodding to the music’s instrumentation, rhythm, and multi-layered composition.

Westlake Gardens Grand Hall

Beauty, durability and affordability were all considerations in choosing to recover the existing shingle roof on the Grand Hall at Westlake Gardens with McElroy Metal's 138T Shingle Recover System. To ensure the new metal roof system looks great and lasts a long time, its panels and components were formed from metal featuring a Valspar paint finish.

Westminster Church Fence

Working from solid sheets of .125”-thick copper, M.G. McGrath of Maplewood, MN, fabricated and installed a truly one-of-a-kind screen wall for the Westminster Church in Minneapolis, MN. The screen was designed by Meyer & Scherer of Rockcastle, MN, and features the artwork of Coen & Partners of Minneapolis. The screen is installed across the front and back of the church property and required approximately 200 copper panels, each measuring 3’10”-wide x 8’ high, to complete.

Westminster Community College Gateway Center

Thanks to its modern design using a brilliant zinc-panel exterior that appears to float above a fieldstone foundation and vast expanse of windows, the Gateway Center presents a shining port of entry for students, many of whom are new immigrants to the United States. The zinc for the project, which is on the campus of Westchester Community College in New York, was provided by Umicore Building Products USA of Raleigh, NC.

Westminster High School

With decorative appeal in mind, H & L Architecture of Denver, CO, utilized a variety of materials on the exterior of the new Westminster High School in Westminster, CO. Among the cladding materials were 26,000 square feet of Bright Silver Omega-Lite aluminum composite panels, manufactured by Laminators Incorporated.

Westminster Neighborhood Services

During the design phase of the new Westminster Neighborhood Services facility, one of the main goals was to construct a building that would hold up over time and serve the community far into the future. Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM) from Citadel Architectural Products offered the style, color and durability the board was looking for.

Westminster Woods On Julington Creek

Nestled in a semi-tropical paradise on an arm of the St. John’s River near Jacksonville, Fla., the new Westminster Woods on Julington Creek retirement community offers active seniors an ideal setting. The wooded 90-acre campus combines neighborhoods of detached villas, and garden and waterfront apartment homes featuring metal roofing from Petersen.

Westside Common

In Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, Westside Common fuses elements of metal building and conventional construction to create an image appropriate for both its commercial office and retail tenants. Advance Design & Construction Ltd. of Medicine Hat, an authorized builder of pre-engineered metal building systems by Robertson Building Systems, designed the 360’ long x 86’ wide structure. Ground was broken for construction of the 30,120 sq. ft. building in November 2008 with completion wrapping up one year later.

Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion

Large banks of floor-to-ceiling windows, a grand piano and a “healing garden” for quiet contemplations are just a few of the innovative features that greet patients at the $100-million Allegheny Health Network Wexford Health + Wellness Pavilion, which opened in fall 2014. The facility featured metal products from CENTRIA.

WGBH - Boston Headquarters

WGBH, the nation’s preeminent creator of public broadcast content, recently consolidated operations from a dozen buildings into a three-facility complex in Boston, MA. Morin, a division of Kingspan Insulated Panels Inc., provided metal panels for the $85 million USGBC Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design® (LEED) certified headquarters, which includes offices, a 210-seat theater and an 1,800 square-foot performance studio.

White Mountain Administrative Complex

The White Mountain Administrative Complex in Campton, NH, features custom metal buildings by Star Building Systems. Totaling 14,296 square feet, the metal buildings were chosen for cost-effectiveness and for the ability to fulfill a design that resembled a typical New England sugar house. The buildings in this complex are covered by Star’s StarShield Roof System in Charcoal Gray color, along with reverse-rolled DuraRib Wall System panels in Light Stone color. Completed in May 2008, the 3-structure complex is LEED certified.

Whole Foods Market

Approximately 8,500 sq. ft. of Metl-Span CF-36 Striated Insulated Wall Panels were selected as a key component on the third-largest Whole Foods store in the world. The 2” panels, finished in custom Vancouver Copper Kynar, were installed horizontally. Located in Lincoln Park, IL, the new 75,000 sq. ft. store includes seven neighborhood-themed eateries, a stage for music and seating for 400 in the eating and lounge areas. The store also offers a 420-car indoor parking lot.

Whole Foods Market - Midtown Tampa

Midtown Tampa, a hot social hub, now features a 48,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market, the ground-floor home to Novel Midtown apartments. The project includes 7,000 square feet of CENTRIA’s EcoScreen perforated 0.040-inch painted aluminum panels in Sherwin-Williams’ 6748 Green.

Wichcraft

A Space Sculpting metal fabric system from Cambridge Architectural lends contemporary flare to the interior of the newly constructed Las Vegas, NV, location of ‘Wichcraft, a trendy sandwich, salad and pastry shop. The woven stainless steel fabric system was installed as a moveable screen to define space in the eatery, located on MGM Grand’s Studio Walk. The shop’s bold and dramatic color scheme, contemporary seating areas and distinctive stainless steel metal fabric treatment contribute to the exceptional décor and dining experience.

Wichita High School Southeast

School design has come a long way since the 1950s. Gone are standardized boxy structures, and in are spaces filled with natural light. Wichita High School Southeast is a new campus that replaces a 1950s structure and meets the community's growing population needs with current design practices. The exterior showcases Citadel Architectural Products’ Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM), installed using the RainScreen (RS) attachment system.

Wickes Furniture

The project manager for glass and glazing subcontractor Alliance Glass & Metals, Romeoville, IL, wanted a panel system that his crew could install along with the glazing and curtainwall on the new Wickes Furniture project on Elston Avenue in Chicago. The patented Dri-Design® dry joint, pressure-equalized rainscreen metal wall system was selected to meet that objective. More than 2,600 sq. ft. of .080"-thick aluminum panels, with an Arcadia Green paint finish, were installed on the job.

Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center

The Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas, is the largest outpatient ambulatory care center in the Department of Defense. The $380-million phased project brought a LEED Gold facility that spans 670,000 square feet to Lackland Air Force Base. Among the materials featured on the facility, both inside and out, are Dri-Design wall panels.

William R. Anton Elementary School

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation, a leading nationwide provider of metal panels for the building and construction industry, supplied 11,500 square feet of sleek custom T16-L horizontal and curved horizontal siding panels to William R. Anton Elementary School in Los Angeles, CA. The new 98,000 square foot elementary school houses 1,176 students in kindergarten through fifth grade and features 51 classrooms, an outdoor play field and an underground parking structure.

Williams Selyem Winery

As the most public building at the Williams Selyem Winery, the look of the winery’s administration building takes on added importance. To ensure the structure projected the desired image, the building’s designer, Alex Ceppi of D.arc Group in New York, utilized iconic elements of winemaking as a generator of form and meaning. Those elements were rendered in wood and zinc from RHEINZINK.
