Finland-based Vaisala, a global leader in weather, environmental, and industrial measurements, embarked on a visionary project to erect a cutting-edge U.S. headquarters in Louisville, Colorado, showcasing its unwavering dedication to sustainability. S-5!, a global leader in metal roof attachments, helped them to achieve their goals.

Building systems and components from NCI Building Systems, including framing by Star Building Systems, single-skin metal wall panels by MBCI and insulated metal wall and roof panels by Metl-Span formed the palette from which the bigger and better Vale Church in Bloomington, IL was designed and built. Fast-track construction of the facility began in August 2017 with completion reached in May 2018.

A longtime staple of the Bloomington, Ill. community, Vale Church has seen its congregation increase by more than a third in recent years. Their response, in addition to boosting staff, was to purchase 37 acres of land for a new facility - featuring seven steel-framed structures from Star Building Systems.

With a name based on a supernatural raven from Danish folklore, Cedar Point's Valravn in Sandusky, Ohio is the tallest (223 feet), fastest (75 mph) and longest (3,415 feet) dive roller coaster in the world. The Valravn Roller Coaster Station design incorporated several aluminum panel profiles in three colors from ATAS International.

This 55,000 sq. ft. vehicle storage/maintenance facility for the Van Buren County Road Commission is located in Lawrence, MI. It features Ridge Frame and Continuous Beam framing by VP Buildings, along with metal roofing. The SSR standing seam roofing system, also by VP Buildings in a Leaf Green color, is unusual because it has a liner installed over the purlins with a vapor retarder and rigid insulation to provide a consistent thermal barrier.

The Vancouver Aquarium’s $45-million renovation and expansion was unveiled in June 2014 in Vancouver, British Columbia’s Stanley Park. Designed to evoke the flow of water and the wonder of aquatic life, the new two-story 55,000 square-foot aquarium building features a curvilinear architectural design that is clad in color-changing aluminum composite material from 3A Composites USA, mimicking fish scales in hues ranging from green to pink.

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center recently expanded to include a new hospital tower in Nashville. As part of the building’s design, the architectural team with Blair + Mui Dowd Architects opted to incorporate a living wall into the structure. Helping with that integration was Metalwërks' Sculpted™3D Ribbon irrigated planter wall system.

When design of the VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre was awarded to Perkins+Will Canada, architects were challenged to create a building that would increase visibility and attract more visitors to the 54-acre internationally recognized garden in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, while meeting the highest goals in sustainable building design. The finished project features 12,000 sq. ft. of Alucobond® naturAL material in the custom plain mill finish.

The motivation behind DIY projects is usually, if not always, to save enough money to make the work worthwhile. In the case of one Michigan couple's project, involving zinc panels fabricated by Sheet Metal Supply, the satisfaction of a puzzle solved and a job done well were equally at play.

Toronto’s Castlefield neighborhood is fashion-forward, filled with furniture manufacturers and interior design firms. The owners of Vaultra Storage targeted the area for their flagship facility, but knew that to support local businesses, the self-storage building had to look the part. Thanks to products by Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, it totally does.

Venice, CA is a buzzing beach town with its own unique vibe. Not far from the free-spirited Venice Boardwalk, Muscle Beach, funky shops, stylish boutiques and foodie hotspots, is a quaint, new-construction modernistic home designed by architect Matthew Royce. This envy-inducing split-level rental home, which is also owned by the architect, melds indoor living with outdoor space through the incorporation of a custom-made Schweiss one-piece hydraulic designer door.

The $15 million Applied Science Center at Ventura College in Ventura, Calif., brings needed technology-centered learning to the community. Designed with an industrial feel,Dri-Design Tapered and Perforated Panels create the desired look while adding excitement to the campus.

At the end of a dirt road in southern Vermont is a stunning timber and stone residence designed to resemble a 16th century Anglo-Norman manor house. The adjacent barn is styled to look as though it was from the same period too. It is topped with zinc, a roofing material with European roots dating back many centuries. The zinc roofing material supplier, RHEINZINK America Inc., has the same European lineage but now thrives in the United States as well.

Varco Pruden Buildings supplied its Continuous Beam framing for the new Verona Area Community Theater in Verona, WI. 1848 Construction Inc. of Middleton, WI was the VP Builder for the new facility, which was designed by Dimension IV Madison Design Group of Madison, WI.

The new Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown, PA is a 21,000 sq. ft. referral hospital with its own intensive care unit, a CT scanner, radiation therapy and ultrasound equipment, two surgical suites and separate wards for dogs and cats. To reflect the sophistication of the care and capabilities pet owners can expect on the inside, PZS Architects Inc. of Philadelphia gave the building a high-tech look on the outside. Central to its design were Shadow Series metal wall panels by Holland, MI-based Dri-Design.

In addition to catering to today's tech-savvy customers, Vibe Credit Union locations are easy to spot. Bathed in colors familiar to Vibe's branding, the company's recently opened Sterling Heights, MI branch is a prime example. It is clad with green, grey and champagne-colored aluminum composite panels from Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA.

This addition to the existing Victor School consists of four buildings by Star Building Systems and totals 20,032 square feet. These structures utilize Star’s StarShield Roof System totaling 20,000 square feet. Completed in December 2008, the four-building school addition in Victor, MT features Star’s SMS, SWE and SSB structural framing systems.

A Landscape Interior metal fabric application from Cambridge Architectural adds a mix of visual interest and unique textural appeal to the interior of Victory Plaza in Dallas, TX. The mixed-use Plaza – located at the heart of Dallas’ changing streetscape – stands as a beacon to the neighboring American Airlines Arena, and functions as an integral part of Victory Park, a bustling $3 billion, 72-acre development modeled after New York City’s Time Square. As arena visitors pass through the buildings that comprise the Plaza, they are greeted by Cambridge Architectural’s Landscape Interior application, which mirrors the modern, high-energy styling that makes the expansive development an award-winning architectural attraction.
