Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center

The new Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center in Levittown, PA is a 21,000 sq. ft. referral hospital with its own intensive care unit, a CT scanner, radiation therapy and ultrasound equipment, two surgical suites and separate wards for dogs and cats. To reflect the sophistication of the care and capabilities pet owners can expect on the inside, PZS Architects Inc. of Philadelphia gave the building a high-tech look on the outside. Central to its design were Shadow Series metal wall panels by Holland, MI-based Dri-Design.

Vibe Credit Union

In addition to catering to today's tech-savvy customers, Vibe Credit Union locations are easy to spot. Bathed in colors familiar to Vibe's branding, the company's recently opened Sterling Heights, MI branch is a prime example. It is clad with green, grey and champagne-colored aluminum composite panels from Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA.

Victor School Addition

This addition to the existing Victor School consists of four buildings by Star Building Systems and totals 20,032 square feet. These structures utilize Star’s StarShield Roof System totaling 20,000 square feet. Completed in December 2008, the four-building school addition in Victor, MT features Star’s SMS, SWE and SSB structural framing systems.

Victory Plaza

A Landscape Interior metal fabric application from Cambridge Architectural adds a mix of visual interest and unique textural appeal to the interior of Victory Plaza in Dallas, TX. The mixed-use Plaza – located at the heart of Dallas’ changing streetscape – stands as a beacon to the neighboring American Airlines Arena, and functions as an integral part of Victory Park, a bustling $3 billion, 72-acre development modeled after New York City’s Time Square. As arena visitors pass through the buildings that comprise the Plaza, they are greeted by Cambridge Architectural’s Landscape Interior application, which mirrors the modern, high-energy styling that makes the expansive development an award-winning architectural attraction.

Village Hospital

Designed by Gresham Smith and Partners of Greenville, SC, and opened to the public in October 2008, the new Village Hospital in Greer, SC, is a patient-friendly, 45-bed facility that blends both form and function. Its attractive, low-maintenance exterior features a variety of materials, including 10,000 sq. ft. of Copper Penny-finished Reynobond aluminum composite panels. While the Reynobond material itself was manufactured by Alcoa Architectural Products of Eastman, GA, the project’s ACM panels were fabricated by SAF Metal Fabrication of Atlanta, GA.

Village Links

The Village Links, Glen Ellyn, IL, is a premier municipal golf course. The course has hosted 42 USGA and PGA Tour qualifying events. A $5.3 million renovation of the highly-ranked course and clubhouse facility is the most extensive the club has ever undertaken. The project included a 7,500 sq. ft. addition and the renovation of the existing 8,000 sq. ft. building, featuring metal roofing and soffits from Petersen Aluminum.

Village Of Streamwood Police Department

Petersen Aluminum’s column covers and beam wraps played a key role in the design of the new Village of Streamwood Police Department building in Streamwood, IL. The building is part of a municipal campus that includes the Village Hall and Veterans Memorial. The design utilized Petersen’s PAC 1000C Series Column Covers and Beam Wraps finished in Clear Anodized. In addition, approximately 27,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD Tite-Loc panels finished in Musket Gray were used on the roof.

Village Of Wellington Municipal Complex

The Village of Wellington Municipal Complex in Wellington, FL is a two-story, 54,000 square foot, tilt-wall structure that achieved LEED Gold certification for implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operations and maintenance solutions. Among them was the choice of roofing: standing seam metal from Englert Inc.

Vinita Health Center

Featuring standing seam roofing from Petersen, the new Vinita Health Center is a sparkling addition to the Cherokee Nation Health System, the largest tribally owned health care system in the U.S. The architecture of the 92,000 sq. ft. facility located in Vinita, Okla., reflects Cherokee history and employs construction materials commonly used during and after the Civil War,

Vue Waterfront Condominium Complex

Rising from the ashes where the 11-story Pacific Trade Center building once stood, a contemporary high-rise tower provides a powerful new symbol of the renaissance taking place on the Old Town San Pedro waterfront. Galaxy Commercial Holdings commissioned GMPA Architects, Inc. of Santa Monica, CA to design The Vue, a modern residential tower that captures magnificent waterfront views. Featured on the 16-story complex's exterior is Alcoa Architectural Products' Reynobond aluminum composite material wall panels.

Wading River Home

Wading River, NY is a hamlet located in Suffolk County on the North Shore of Long Island. The name of the hamlet comes from the original Algonquian name for the area, Pauquaconsuk, meaning "the place where we wade for thick, round-shelled clams". Being located near the shore, it was a natural fit for an aluminum Dutch Seam metal roof from ATAS International on this Wading River home.

Wake Technical Community College North Campus Parking Deck

The new Wake Technical Community College North Campus parking deck in Raleigh, NC, was constructed near a wooded area at the end of the campus. The design goal was for the building to have a look to contrast with its surroundings while reflecting the beauty of the natural habitat. That was achieved, in part, through the use of perforated panels by Morin - A Kingspan Group Company on its exterior.

Walter Cronkite School Of Journalism And Communications

In 2009, the City of Phoenix, AZ, embarked on a plan to become the most sustainable city in the United States. It was with that goal in mind that Arizona State University built the 223,000 square foot Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Communication building in downtown Phoenix, providing new classrooms, office space and a home for local PBS affiliate KAET Channel 8. GKD–USA’s Lago stainless steel woven metal fabric was used to create sunscreens, bringing the sustainable elements of sun control to the building.

Walter Reed Military Medical Center

Renovating the roof of the general administration building at Walter Reed Military Medical Center in Washington, DC was as much a labor of love as it was a complex reroofing job for the craftsmen at National Roofing Company in Baltimore Maryland. As part of its work at the historic facility, National Roofing replaced old metal roofing with a new Englert jobsite-manufactured system.

Walton On The Park

Rising in the midst of its elegant Beaux-Arts neighbors, Walton on the Park adds a distinctly modern flavor to Chicago's fashionable Gold Coast neighborhood. Commissioned by one of Chicago's leading residential developers, Walton on the Park exemplifies cutting-edge architecture tempered with respect for the landmark structures around it. The challenge issued to architects Pappageorge Haymes of Chicago, IL, was to create a mixed-use building and residential tower to house more than 400 ultra-spacious, luxurious residential units. Featured on the building’s exterior is Reynobond aluminum composite material from Alcoa Architectural Products.

Washington Station

Like the downtown buildings of old, Washington Station, in the heart of Syracuse, NY's Armory District, is built to last. To ensure it will achieve the kind of durability often lacking in today’s construction, the building’s designer clad its exterior in zinc. Approximately 16,000 square feet of RHEINZINK® Preweathered Blue-Gray panels were installed vertically utilizing the pressure- and temperature-equalized rainscreen Consort Panel System, fabricated by Proclad Enterprises Ltd. of St. Albert, Alberta, Canada.

Water + Life Museums

The slender steel towers of sister museums – The center for Water Education and Western Center for Archaeology and Paleontology – along with classrooms, offices, gift shops, laboratories and education landscape celebrate southern California’s water infrastructure. From solar panels to interior lighting to CENTRIA’s Formawall® Dimension Series® insulated panels, the building program is a living example of sustainability and conservation.
