Elk Grove Special Waste Collection Center

The City of Elk Grove, California’s Special Waste Collection Center opened in April 2014 with a commitment to a cleaner and greener community. The Center, which features AEP Span’s architectural metal panels, has earned LEED Gold Certification. The facility accepts recyclable materials diverted from local landfills.

Elk River YMCA

The Elk River YMCA is full of life and excitement, and the building’s vitality is reflected in its exterior design. The material mix includes precast concrete but the spotlight products are corrugated and flat-lock metal wall panels, both manufactured by Firestone Metal Products of Anoka, MN. Completed in May 2008, the YMCA backs up to a busy highway. To ensure the appearance of the rear of the facility was worthy its high visibility, BWBR Architects of St. Paul, Minnesota, skinned the rear of the building with Firestone’s UNA-CLAD UR-Pro Omega corrugated panels.

Elliot Twin Towers Renovation

A recent renovation project for the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority’s Elliot Twin Towers development shows how these aging facilities can be upgraded to add decades to their usefulness and comfort to their residents’ lives. A metal wall panel system from Petersen was used for a creative effect in this project, adding both insulating value and upscale visual flair.

Elmer Buchta Entrepreneurship & Technology Center

Opened in March, 2021, the new Elmer Buchta Entrepreneurship & Technology Center (EBETC) in Pike County, Indiana, revitalizes and supports the community's educational and employment opportunities. The building's colorful exterior is both welcoming and durable, thanks to the utilization of a rainscreen metal wall system as its exterior cladding. The panels that comprise it are finished with paints from PPG and Sherwin-Williams, as applied by Linetec.

Elsie Coffey Childcare Development Center

For Bangor Housing Authority’s Elsie Coffey Childcare Development Center, a new roof means safety from the wear, tear and moisture of a New England winter and protection for children both in the building and out on the adjacent playground. The reroof project combined the forces of Garland’s R-Mer Span and S-5! SnoFence.

Ely Helicopter Services Hangar

Located in Sallisaw, OK, a new hangar for Ely Helicopter Services was constructed with products from Star Building Systems and featuring a 46’ wide x 15’ high Schweiss hydraulic lift hangar door.

Elysian Beach Resort Reroof

The beautiful Elysian Beach Resort is located on the eastern end of St. Thomas. In 2017, Hurricanes Irma and Maria created catastrophic damage on the island, including the destruction of many roofs, causing the resort to close. The existing composite tile roofing material on the resort’s buildings was replaced with aluminum Ascot White CastleTop shingles, manufactured by ATAS International.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University College Of Arts & Sciences Building

As the newest addition to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach, Florida campus, the College of Arts & Sciences Building was created to replace the 1960s-era Lindbergh Academic Complex. The building, designed by the architectural firm Leo A Daly, consists of a structural steel frame with an exterior skin of curtain wall and Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material wall panels. Reynobond is a product of Alcoa Architectural Products.

Emma And Georgina Bloomberg Center At Cornell Tech

Architects specify rainscreen systems to fulfill two primary functions: the first is to keep moisture from entering a building; the second is to prevent heat from escaping. Thanks to a collaboration between Morphosis Architects, A. Zahner Company and PPG, the rainscreen system on The Bloomberg Center at Cornell Tech does more than serve those purposes – it also works as a color-shifting wall of art.

Empire City Casino Addition

The 60,000 sq. ft. Empire City Casino addition at Yonkers Raceway in Yonkers, NY is a dynamic departure from ordinary casino design. Featured on its exterior is approximately 20,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK PrePATINA blue-grey Solid and Custom Perforated Flat Lock Panels.

Empire State Building, Window Replacement

When the Empire State Building had its original windows replaced in 1993, PPG created a customized Duranar coating to match the color of the landmark’s original window trim. When 400 more windows were replaced in 2006, PPG was able to match the window color again, even after they had endured more than 13 years of weathering. This was due to the durability and colorfastness of the original Duranar coating as well as the precision of company’s digital color-matching system.

The Encore luxury apartments, which opened in November 2016 in the historic Mill District of Minneapolis, were designed to offer expansive views of both the city and the nearby Mississippi River to residents. Aluminum composite material (ACM) by 3A Composites USA is featured on the building.

The Energy Interactive Fitness Center in St. James, Long Island, NY, is a workout addict’s dream, offering a unique interactive training approach supported by caring professionals who work hard to help members achieve their fitness goals. But that’s just part of the story as far as this new building goes. It is also a model for healthy, green building design and features an Englert Series 2000 photovoltaic standing seam roof.

EnerMax Office Building

Modern and rustic. Many buildings could be described as one or the other but very few could be called both. Count the new EnerMax office building in Drayton Valley, Alberta, Canada in that latter category. With its heavy exterior stone accents and tower forms it appears almost castle-like. But clad predominantly with Reynobond® aluminum composite material and glass, it is also clearly contemporary.

EnviroTech Chemical Services

Metal building systems from Varco Pruden Buildings were the perfect choice for the construction of the EnviroTech Chemical Services facility in Modesto, California. The 19,343 sq. ft. project consists of a warehouse and supporting offices, utilizing Varco Pruden’s Rigid Frame and Continuous Beam structural systems.

Equestrian Estate

Located in the greater Vancouver, British Columbia area is a 2-½ acre equestrian estate that features a 9,000 sq. ft. main residence plus three out-buildings – totaling 6,000 sq. ft. – to accommodate seven horses. Among the materials featured in the construction of the buildings was RHEINZINK titanium zinc from RHEINZINK America Inc.

Erie County Medical Center - Regional Center Of Excellence For Transplantation & Kidney Care

The new Regional Center of Excellence for Transplantation & Kidney Care is part of a five-year plan to revitalize Erie County Medical Center’s health campus. Featuring metal products from CENTRIA, the Regional Center of Excellence is the first clinical collaboration between Erie County Medical Center and Kaleida Health, the largest healthcare provider in western New York.
