East Hills Mall

Originally built in 1964, East Hills Mall has long been an economic catalyst for St. Joseph, MO, drawing customers from a multi-state region. But with the look becoming dated and its future success in doubt, Hollis+Miller Architects, Lee’s Summit, MO, in collaboration with ComArts of Boulder, CO, was tapped to freshen the appearance of the 676,000 sq. ft. retail center. Among the products used to accomplish the design goals were Citadel Envelope 2000® metal composite material (MCM) wall panels.

East Lake High School Roof Replacement

Restoring a building to its former glory is a rewarding part of retrofit projects. Drexel Metals Inc. had an opportunity to be part of such an undertaking as the manufacturer of the metal roof system chosen to replace a failed one at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, FL.

East Main Business Park

A vision and some metal panels - supplied by American Building Components and MBCI - combined to revitalize a car dealership of a bygone era into office and retail space, piquing the curiosity of passersby in Norwich, N.Y.

East Park Community Center

Wanting the look of smooth metal wall panels without the potential drawbacks related to caulked joints, Nashville, TN-based Everton Oglesby Architects chose Dri-Design panels for the exterior of the new East Park Community Center in that city. The project required 14,000 sq. ft. of the .050”-thick aluminum panels, finished in White, Patina Green and Orange. The 9,000 sq. ft. of metal wall panels needed to complete the project were installed by JWC Specialties, Nashville.

EBB Krone Building - Georgia Tech University

Though indiscernible from a distance, a closer look reveals something rather unique about the perforated panels that cover portions of the Roger A. and Helen B. Krone Engineered Biosystems Building at Georgia Tech University in Atlanta. The panels, manufactured by Morin, a Kingspan Group Company, feature not one, but two different hole sizes. The unusual pattern was the result of meticulous attention to detail on the part of the building’s design team and equally precise fabrication by the manufacturer.

Eblen Intermediate School

Buncombe County Schools in Asheville, NC sought to relieve overcrowding in eight existing schools with the simultaneous construction of two new intermediate (grades 5-6) schools. The twin 107,000 sq. ft. facilities are identical in design and offer students a unique sense of discovery. Eblen Intermediate School utilizes a colorful variety of PAC-CLAD profiles from Petersen.

Ecofibre

Expanding into the United States, Australia-based Ecofibre, a global leader in hemp technologies, sought to build a headquarters that aligned with the company’s sustainability goals. Choosing insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels - North America helped it achieve those objectives, and contributed to the project's rapid construction.

ECU Family Medicine Center

The Family Medicine Center at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC is a 120,000 square-foot facility with 60 exam rooms, including 12 for geriatric treatment. Topping the building is an Englert standing seam metal roof system, installed by Baker Roofing Co. of Raleigh, NC.

Ed Yarbrough Indoor Tennis Center

Metal building systems are tailor made for projects with tight budgets and tighter time frames. That theorem was proven true in the recent construction of the Ed Yarbrough Indoor Tennis Center in Jasper, IN. The project was completed in September 2011 after just 90 days of work, at a cost of only $400,000. The metal building system utilized for its construction was manufactured by Robertson Building Systems.

Eddyfi Technologies World Headquarters

Eddyfi Technologies’ world headquarters building in Quebec City is a model of contemporary architecture, biophilic design and sustainable materials – from the generous application of locally sourced wood and use of large, triple-glazed windows, to the selection of solvent-free PPG Coraflon coatings to protect and embellish its muted aluminum cladding.

Edge

Located in El Segundo, CA, The Edge is a newly completed Class A office park that combines 200,000 ft. of leasable commercial space with 20,000 sq. ft. of supporting retail. Helping to create a visual cohesiveness between the development’s multiple buildings are Omega-Lite® aluminum composite material wall panels from Laminators Inc., Hatfield, PA. Warren Malcome Architects Inc. provided design services for the project, with Lusardi Construction Co. of San Marcos, CA, handling the general contracting duties. The Omega-Lite® panels were installed by Delta Sheet Metal of Van Nuys, CA.

Edgewater Civic Center

The city of Edgewater, Colorado, recently opened a new civic center. The 55,000 square-foot building puts city offices, the police department, a municipal library, and a recreation and fitness center all under one roof. Key to the building's efficiency and sustainability was the utilization of the KarrierPanel barrier wall system from Kingspan Insulated Panels -North America.

Edgewater II Apartment Complex

Edgewater II Apartment complex is just minutes away from some of Philadelphia’s best restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and culture. But residents have plenty of reasons to stay home, thanks to many amenities. The building looks great too, thanks in part to the inclusion of Omega-Lite® ACM panels from Laminators Incorporated of Hatfield, PA.

Edie's Crossing

The Edie’s Crossing office condominium development in Saratoga Springs, NY offers the small business or professional person the opportunity to buy or lease high-quality, Class A space in a park-like space. The development's first building was recently completed and is clad entirely with insulated metal wall panels from Metl-Span. The product was chosen to give the 20,000 sq. ft. structure a high-tech look and sets the design tone for future projects in the park.

Edmonton International Airport Combined Office Tower

The new 107,000 sq. ft. Combined Office Tower (COT) at Edmonton International Airport adds dramatic impact to the Edmonton arrival and departure experience. Used to create the building’s undulating ribbon-like exterior wrap were Interlocking Flat Lock Shingles from RHEINZINK. The titanium zinc cladding is available in the United States from RHEINZINK America Inc.

Edward Jones Building - St. Louis

A variation of Dri-Design’s patented rainscreen metal wall panels were utilized to create a mechanical penthouse atop the recently completed 10-story Edward Jones building in St. Louis, MO. The 1.5mm-thick perforated zinc panels were fabricated by Dri-Design from VM Quartz Zinc. VM Quartz Zinc is produced by Umicore Building Products USA.

EHS Fleet Centre

The EHS Fleet Centre in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada is not fancy, but it incorporates some non-standard features that enhance both its appearance and energy efficiency. At the heart of the building's construction is a metal building system by Robertson Building Systems of Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. The 16,380 sq. ft. structure also features metal roof and wall systems from Robertson.

Eko Depot Hardware Store

Situated in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Eko Depot Hardware Store is comprised of various structures, two of which are custom designed metal buildings by Star Building Systems and two others are conventional concrete structures used for administrative offices and client services.

El Dorado Market Place

The new El Dorado Market Place in Frisco, TX, is a 400,000 sq. ft. shopping center designed to meet the city’s standards for lasting elements and durability. More than 31,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD material was used in roof and façade applications including 12,375 sq. ft. of 24 gauge 16” Snap-Clad Panels; 1,260 sq. ft. of 24 gauge 16” Tite Loc Panels used exclusively for curved applications; 5,373 sq. ft. of 24 gauge 11” Flush Panels; and 12,400 sq. ft. of 24 gauge Flat Sheet. All material was finished in Weathered Zinc.

Elder Maintenance Shop

Totaling 20,000 in square feet of space, the Elder Maintenance Shop in Des Moines, IA, utilized steel framing by Star Building Systems, along with a StarShield Roof System and StarMark Wall System. Completed in February 2007, the maintenance shop offered several structural challenges. The decision to use a Star pre-engineered building over conventional construction was due in part to time constraints dictated by the owner, as well as cost. The owner of Elder Maintenance Shop was also pleased with the advantages and durability of the StarShield Roof.
