A metal fabric system from Cambridge Architectural employs stunning, expansive panels of architectural mesh to add style and function to the parking garage serving the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Dublin/Pleasanton Station in Pleasanton, CA. Dublin/Pleasanton is one of 43 BART stations that facilitates travel to and from downtown San Francisco, the East Bay and San Francisco International Airport. Because the station is so architecturally unique, plans called for its adjacent parking structure to meet the exact same design expectations – modern and memorable.

South of Buffalo, NY are clusters of empty grain silos and associated processing facilities. Artists, musicians and a new generation of businesses are gravitating to the area—now known as Silo City—and seeking to turn it into something new and different. One of the businesses located there is Duende, a bar and event space whose décor is comprised of a mix of old and new materials, including texturized metal from Rigidized® Metals Corporation.

The newest landmark on the Charlotte skyline, Duke Energy Center, is distinguished from its neighbors by a sculptural roofline with a sharply slanted, handle-shaped bridge at the crown, and faceted, truncated corners on the tower. The building’s complex geometry prompted the metal panel installer to develop an unconventional installation solution for the Reynobond Aluminum Composite Material wall panels. Reynobond is a product of Alcoa Architectural Products.

The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is a 23-mile extension of Washington’s existing Metrorail System. Construction of Phase 1 is complete and covers 11.7 miles with five stations. Phase 2 is underway and will complete the extension with six additional stations. Featured on 11 of the 12 stations is RHEINZINK titanium zinc cladding from RHEINZINK America Inc.

The Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) Multimodal Transportation Facility in Duluth, MN is changing the way people travel through the city’s downtown area as it caters to 6,000 commuters and 600 bus movements each day. The $30 million hub, featuring metal products from CENTRIA, includes a bus transit terminal with a large, multi-level parking structure, bicycle parking and more that lends itself to commuters of all types.

Work is completed on an elaborate project to transform the former home of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Watchtower district into a sleek office/retail and high-tech campus complex, renamed Dumbo Heights. Anchored at the nexus of the Brooklyn Tech Triangle and a thriving art district, Dumbo Heights is poised to become the area’s most sought after destination. It's also another showcase project for Schweiss Doors.

As Dunkin’ continues to grow their brand, consumers will see a variety of interesting and unique store designs, all sporting the signature Dunkin’ logo. A new Dunkin’ location in Phoenix was designed by a.d. ArizaDo, an architectural design firm located in Tempe, AZ, using four colors of CastleTop metal shingles by ATAS International.

The first-place winner in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition in the commercial walls category is a Dunkin’ shop in Cottonwood, AZ. Four colors of CastleTop were incorporated into this unique façade design - Black, Chocolate Brown, Sierra Tan, and Almond - as a nod to the various shades of coffee that is served in this shop.

DuPont has opened two new office buildings at its Chestnut Run facility in Wilmington, DE. More than 20 DuPont products are incorporated into the building’s structure, electronic systems and decor including the new DRI-DESIGN® Wall Panel System with DuPont™ Corian® EC exterior cladding.

A complete exterior and interior renovation was needed for Durham City Hall, which opened in 1975. Looking for a maintenance-free material that would soften the building’s feel while also giving the structure a strong presence, the design team selected metal wall panels from Dri-Design.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Airport parking structure and rental car facility welcomes visitors from far and wide and Citadel Architectural Products provided the metal composite material that greets them.

Dymon Storage’s new facility in Brampton, Ontario, CAN is a prime example of how self-storage is evolving to keep up with the times. Breaking away from previous storage designs, Dymon Storage wanted a building that would disrupt the industry’s norms while bringing a sense of luxury to their brand. Through products from Kingspan Insulated Panels North America, they got it.

When Patrick Halligan, a board member for Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 25, approached Schweiss Doors owner Mike Schweiss about a good deal on a hangar door, Schweiss stepped up. The chapter was in the process of raising funds for a new hangar and any savings would be helpful. What Halligan did not expect was for Schweiss to donate what ended up being a bifold door, measuring 54 feet wide by 16 feet tall.

Eagle Valley Middle School in Carson City, Nevada can now work diligently toward providing excellent education, thanks to an updated and improved campus constructed by Miles Construction, an American Buildings Company (ABC) authorized Builder.

Utilizing a metal building system from Varco Pruden Buildings, a division of BlueScope Buildings North America, Inc., the new Eaglewood Fire Station #82 features both function and aesthetics. Varco Pruden’s Rigid Frame system and SSR roofing are highlighted on this Salt Lake City, Utah, facility that was completed in February 2009.

Metalwërks®, a supplier of metal plate exterior façade systems, provided 82,000 square feet of its products for a new construction project at Morgan State University’s new business school, and the pedestrian bridge that connects the east and west sides of the campus.

The Lone Star College system, with multiple campuses in the Houston metropolitan area, has added an onsite technical high school named the East Aldine Satellite Center. The 64,000-sq.-ft. facility features a contemporary design with a restrained palette of façade materials, including eye-catching metal panels from Petersen in two distinctive finishes.

Dubbed the “library in the park,” the East Baton Rouge Parish Main Library in Baton Rouge, Louisiana utilized VMZINC® panels to create a modern aesthetic and sustainable design. A total of 40,000 square feet of standing seam, interlock and flat lock zinc panels were an integral material of the building’s canopies and roof.

The 58,000 sq. ft. expansion of the East Grand Rapids (MI) Community Center involved the complete reconstruction of the existing city hall and library facilities. Two buildings were combined into one large picturesque facility located on scenic Reeds Lake. The $9.4 million, LEED Certified facility received the 2007 Outstanding Facility Design Award from the Michigan Recreation & Park Association. Approximately 8,000 sq. ft. of Petersen Aluminum’s Tite-Loc Plus Panels finished in Zinc and Terra Cotta were utilized.

The architectural team at Perkins Eastman turned to modular metal panels to provide versatile aesthetics to create the desired look for the East Harlem Education Center in New York. Because of their quick lead time, easy installation and cost efficiency, metal panels - supplied by CENTRIA - were the most logical choice to have the building ready to welcome eager students on time.
