Golden Gate Pavilion

Vulcraft joists were used to assemble an inventive design for the Golden Gate Pavilion in San Francisco, California, helping to make the contemporary structure an international gateway and visitor destination in honor of the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th Anniversary in 2012.

Golden State Foods

Customers at fast food restaurants across the country find products from Golden State Foods to be the perfect complement to their meals. When the producer of condiments, dressings, sauces, syrups and toppings needed to expand its warehousing square footage through the addition of a Texas facility, it found a perfect complement of a different sort, insulated metal panel systems from Kingspan Insulated Panels North America.

Golden State Lumber

CENTRIA’s Concept Series rainscreen panels featuring MicroSeam® Corners and MicroLine™ Extrusions were specified to modernize the newest Golden State Lumber outlet in Concord, Calif. The first building of its kind, the 75,454 square-foot facility includes 7,000 square feet of retail space and a 44,400 square-foot indoor, drive-through lumberyard.

Goldwin Smith Hall Reroof

A reroof project at historic Goldwin Smith Hall on the campus of Cornell University in Ithaca, NY included the installation of four types of snow management products from Alpine SnowGuards.

Golisano Children's Museum

Inspired in 2002 by a mother’s dream of her departed 13-month old daughter, the Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (nicknamed “C’Mon”) has been 10 years in the making. Ground for the museum was broken in 2009, and in February 2012 dreams became real as the doors of this unique facility opened to the public. Among the many materials and forms incorporated into the building's whimsical design was colorful curved metal roofing from IMETCO.

Goodwill Headquarters And Training Center

Goodwill’s new headquarters and training center in Tacoma, WA, is truly innovative in its approach to meeting the organization’s mission of assisting persons who are disabled or disadvantaged. In addition to administrative offices, the 63,000 sq. ft. training facility includes an adaptive computer lab, playcare space for children, life-skills classrooms and REACH, a partnership with schools and agencies serving at-risk youths. Featured on the project is approximately 7,000 sq. ft. of Citadel Envelope 2000® Rain Screen (RS) panels finished in Sherwood Green and Metallic Silver.

Goodwin College Academic And Administration Building

Dramatic growth in the student population at Goodwin College, East Hartford, CT, necessitated the expansion of the campus. Taking advantage of a nearby 30-acre brownfield site, the college eventually constructed a new 110,000 sq. ft. academic and administration building. Utilized extensively on the six-story building's exterior was Metl-Span CF-32 Architectural Flat insulated metal wall panels. They were finished in four complementary colors: Arabian Blue, Chromium Gray, Dove Gray and Light Gray.

Googie Burger

It’s not difficult for visitors to Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park to spot the Googie Burger restaurant. Helping draw their eye to that newly renovated building is a signature roof form, rendered in Accu-Trac® aluminum composite material panels from Altech Panel Systems.

Goose Creek High School

The Berkley County School District in South Carolina recently completed one of its most expansive and complicated renovation projects. The addition of 130,000 sq. ft. of classroom and facility space to Goose Creek High School just northwest of Charleston was accomplished with a combination of demolition, renovation and new construction - featuring metal panels from Petersen.

Gordon State College Student Success Center

Officials at Gordon State College in Barnesville, GA were looking to improve and expand on one of their campus’ key buildings, the Student Success Center. Working with a Smyrna, GA-based architect, The Facility Group, a plan was developed to replace 18,000 sq. ft. of roofing on the original building, and to create a 17,500 sq. ft. addition. For both aspects, products from Firestone Building Products were utilized.

Grace Court Parking Garage

Sleek vertical metal fabric panels from Cambridge Architectural smartly and cleanly clad the exterior of the parking garage servicing the new Grace Court complex in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to the 800-car garage, the development boasts a renovated historic Grace Court School and three new office buildings.

Grace Place Church

The new Grace Place Church in Berthoud, CO shows off nearly 30,000 total square feet of wall, roof, and soffit panels from Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation. Grace Place offers live concert performances, retreats and special worship just for kids. In order to make this sanctuary as contemporary as the organization itself, the church needed authentic materials that would match its mission.

Grafton Dairy Barn

Counting barn restorations as one of its areas of specialization, Eight Hundred Roof of North Berwick, ME, fabricated and installed the 30,000 sq. ft. of metal roofing that now tops the Grafton Dairy Barn in North Haverhill, NH. Sheffield Metals of Sheffield Village, OH, manufactured the Slate Gray-colored, Kynar 500-coated, 24-gauge steel coils used to produce the roof panels. They were distributed by Admiral Building Products of Lewiston, ME.

Grammy Museum Mississippi

Similar to its sister museum in Los Angeles, the new Grammy Museum in Cleveland, Miss., is dedicated to presenting the past, present and future of music, and the cultural context from which it emerges. Logically, then, the stylistic new structure shines a focused spotlight on the deep musical roots of its Mississippi environment. Corrugated metal panels from Petersen are used prominently on the facility.

Grand Canyon University Student Recreation Center

Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation, a premier nationwide provider of metal panels for the building and construction industry, provided a total of 47,500 square feet of bold, sleek metal paneling for both the interior and exterior of the new Grand Canyon University (GCU) Student Recreation Center in Phoenix, AZ. The 55,000-square-foot Student Recreation Center houses a state-of-the-art fitness area, a dance studio, and three professional-quality practice courts.

Grand Strand Water & Sewer Authority Headquarters

The Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority in South Carolina has grown from a utility with no assets, customers or funding in the early 1970s, into a company with more than 60,000 customers. To manage its expanding service area, the concern has had to add staff and build a new headquarters. Adorning the recently completed office building is approximately 10,000 sq. ft. of Englert jobsite-rollformed metal roofing.

Grand Vista Apartments Water Feature

The Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles was established along with the prominent movie studios during the early 20th century. In one of its high-end apartment complexes, a new water feature created with Banker Wire mesh, emphasizes the connection between Studio City and the movie industry – and provides a canvas for multimedia entertainment.

Granite Falls Airport Hangar

That was the thinking behind the specification of a Schweiss bifold door for a hangar adjacent the administration building Granite Falls Municipal Airport in Granite Falls, MN.

Grayton Beach Residence

Located only a stone’s throw from the Gulf of Mexico, a new 4,500-sq.-ft. residence in Grayton Beach, Fla., is a “gorgeous addition to the neighborhood,” said roofing contractor Jamie Carter, president of Cartercraft Roofing, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. General contractor Ray Jackson of Ray Jackson Construction agrees. An aluminum standing seam roof from Petersen was an integral part of the design for the new house.
