Hurlburt Field Air Force Base

When the U.S. Air Force retrofitted a 7,800 square-foot building at Hurlburt Field AFB in Florida to meet a Category V hurricane with wind speeds of 157 mph, it proved to be a sound investment. Roof Hugger's sub-framing products played a prominent role in the metal-over-metal retrofit roof process.

Hurricane Harbor

Six Flags Over Georgia’s new Hurricane Harbor water park near Atlanta includes 22 buildings of varying use and purpose, and all of them sport PAC-CLAD aluminum standing seam roof panels by Petersen. Multiple roof colors are featured throughout the park, making for a bright and stimulating environment.

IBC Bank Headquarters

Formability ranks high on any list of the key attributes of aluminum composite material (ACM). The ability of the material to be effectively used on both sweeping curves and tight bends is a testament to that quality, and was a contributing factor in the material’s selection for the exterior of the drive-thru canopy at the new IBC Bank headquarters building in Oklahoma City, OK. The bank was designed by WKMC Architects Inc. and features on its drive-thru canopy a Series NM-500 aluminum composite panel system by SAF Metal Fabrication of Villa Rica, GA.

IBEW Local 134

Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 134 in Chicago celebrated the grand opening of their new headquarters and union hall in May 2018 – a renovation project that is part of the surrounding Bronzeville neighborhood revitalization. The facility features aluminum composite material cladding from 3A Composites USA.

IBI Group Conference Room

The IBI Group fell in love with the detail and quality of wire mesh while working on a project for one of its clients. As a result of that experience, the company chose to utilize Banker Wire woven mesh in the renovation of its new office space in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

IBM Bromont Plant

The IBM Bromont plant in Bromont, QC, Canada, opened in 1972. Over 50 years later, the facility continues to be a leader in innovation, technology and continuous improvement. In 2015, IBM Bromont installed 3,000 sq. ft. of InSpire solar air heating metal wall panels - manufactured by ATAS International Inc. - and a new 2,000 sq. ft. InSpire® wall was installed in October 2023.

IBM Offices - Herndon, VA

The new IBM offices at Dulles Station West in Herndon, VA, truly reflect today’s mobile work force. The design team implemented IBM’s new e-workplace guidelines, an initiative intended to create a workplace environment more closely aligned with the mobile patterns of IBM employees. Petersen’s PAC-1000F Flush Series column covers contributed to the design success of the Mobility Area where IBM employees can access power and data receptacles set in the columns at floating elliptical work tables.

I-Drive Parking Deck

An attractive multi-story parking structure - featuring perforated metal panels from Petersen - has risen alongside Orlando’s new 18-story, 400-ft.-tall Orlando Eye observation wheel that provides breathtaking vistas of Central Florida in all directions. Views from the wheel include other attractions such as Universal Studios, SeaWorld and Epcot Center, plus lakes and lush landscape.

Iglesia Bautista Bethel Addition

The new sanctuary at the Iglesia Bautista Bethel in Hialeah, FL, will safely weather the severe tropical storms prevalent in South Florida, with the assistance of a building envelope protected by Reynobond® with KEVLAR® and Reynobond Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) by Alcoa Architectural Products. It was designed by Jerry Clawson Architects of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, in collaboration with architect/interior designer Ignacio Gonzalez of Miami, FL.

IKEA Store - Miami

When a new IKEA store is built, it's a big deal—and a comprehensive building project with exacting specifications. That makes the products chosen for construction to be a big deal too. And in the case of the new Miami IKEA, the nation's second-largest store, products from Kingspan Insulated Panels proved just what the design team was looking for.

IMG Performance & Sport Science Center

The new IMG Performance & Sport Science Center is the capstone building of IMG Academy’s world-class athletic training facilities in Bradenton, Fla. Founded in 1978 by legendary tennis coach Nick Bolliettieri, IMG Academy is now internationally recognized as a premier multi-sport training and educational destination for amateur and professional athletes alike. PAC-CLAD metal panels by Petersen are featured on the facility.

Impact Athletics

Three families had a dream and that was to design and construct an athletic and community center in Halfmoon, N.Y. The multi-sport facility was created to simply elevate athletes. Like every project, time and money were considerations when choosing building materials. Ultimately, insulated metal panels (IMPs) from Metl-Span helped make their vision a reality.

Indemann Observation Tower

Designed as a symbol of the structural-political evolution of a former mining district, the 118-foot (36-meter) Indemann Observation Tower in Inden, Germany serves as a visual representation of progressive planning for the future. Made from 270 tons of steel, the Indemann features a semitransparent skin made of Illumesh®, a stainless steel mesh with interwoven LED profiles patented by GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG, Dueren and ag4 media façade GmbH, Cologne.

Indian Hills Elementary School

The new Indian Hills Elementary School in Independence, MO has been described as “one of the nicer looking elementary schools in the Kansas City area.” The 68,000 sq. ft. facility is part of the Fort Osage R-1 School District and was designed by DLR Group, Overland Park, KS. Included on its exterior are ProCore™ metal wall panels from Citadel Architectural Products.

Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center

Located in Vero Beach, Florida, the Indian River County Intergenerational Recreation Center opened its doors for the first time in August 2016. The new facility, branded by the County as the iG (Intergenerational Center), is commonly referred to as ‘Big Red’ – an apt name given its Bright Red IMETCO Series 300® metal roof.

Indian Springs School

When founded in 1952, the master plan for Indian Springs School in Birmingham, Ala., called for campus development to maintain focus on the lake at the center of the school’s wooded 350-acre property. During the past 30 years, however, focus was lost, so a new plan was made to demolish then construct buildings - featuring metal roofing from Petersen - that re-establish a connection to the lake.

Indiana Law Enforcement Center

The new Law Enforcement Center in Elkhart, IN, is a joint venture with the Indiana Department of Administration and the Indiana State Police. The office and training center is the first building in the state to co-locate four law enforcement agencies. The high-tech facility functions as an Indiana State Police post and also houses components of three additional Indiana law enforcement entities. Covering a portion of the new building's exterior are rainscreen wall panels from Dri-Design.

Indiana Orthopaedic Center

Approximately 2,500 sq. ft. of Citadel Architectural Products’ Envelope 2000 aluminum composite material wall panels provide an attractive highlight on the new Indiana Orthopaedic Center in Indianapolis, IN. Finished in Patina Green, the complementary accent panels were used on an entrance canopy, fascia band and column covers. They were installed using Citadel’s progressive Reveal System.

Indianapolis Museum of Art

A major expansion of the Indianapolis Museum of Art included extensive RHEINZINK® material used in three different applications. The $74 million project added 140,000 sq. ft. to the Museum including three new wings, 50 percent more gallery space, an outdoor garden court and other visitor amenities.The cornerstone of the RHEINZINK usage was 40,000 sq. ft. pf Reynobond Zinc Composite Material (ZCM) utilizing RHEINZINK Preweathered Blue-Gray. The ZCM panels were fabricated and installed by Schaffner Heaney Associates, Inc., South Bend, IN.
