Fagen Fighters World War II Museum

On the grounds of the Granite Falls Municipal Airport, in his hometown of Granite Falls, MN, entrepreneur Ron Fagen established the Fagen Fighters World War II Museum. The museum boasts an impressive collection of World War II aircraft and artifacts housed inside two hangars, each of which is outfitted with Schweiss Liftstrap Bifold Doors from Fairfax, MN-based Schweiss Doors.

Fahy Commons At Muhlenberg College

The Fahy Commons building at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA recently won three major sustainability awards. ATAS International manufactured the 24-gauge steel Sandstone and Classic Bronze 2” Field-Lok standing seam metal roof panels, 15-1/4” wide, for this building. A solar array consisting of 183 panels was installed over the metal roof panels.

Fairbanks North Star Borough School District Support Building

Perhaps the recently completed solar metal wall installation on a building owned by the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District in Fairbanks, AK, will be the beginning of a trend. The building’s south wall was recently fitted with a solar array consisting of thin-film laminate photovoltaic panels and metal wall panels from Whirlwind Solar, a Division of Whirlwind Steel Buildings Inc., Houston, TX.

Fairmount Avenue Townhomes

Although it was designed with low-income persons in mind, the new Faimount Avenue Townhomes development in North Chattanooga, Tennessee includes some first-class construction features. The development has 18 units, each topped with Englert metal roof systems and crystalline solar panels capable of generating up to 10% of the per-unit electricity needs. The panels are secured to all south-facing metal roof surfaces using S-5-PV clamps from S-5!.

Faith Chapel

The versatile new Faith Chapel in Billings, MT functions not only as a religious facility but also as a venue for concerts, theatre productions, conferences and community events. The 85,000 sq. ft. facility, located on 11 acres, includes an 1,800 seat auditorium and parking for 1,050 vehicles. Approximately 11,000 sq. ft. of Citadel Panel 20® two piece molding systems panels were used to clad the contemporary facility. The panels were finished in Clear Anodized and Apple Crisp.

Faith Harvest Church

The Faith Harvest Church in Durham, NC, is a 16,817 sq. ft. facility that utilized a custom metal building by Star Building Systems, along with a StarShield Roof System in Seal Brown color. The Star Building Systems builder was Danco Builders, Inc., Rocky Mount, NC. The steel erector was King’s, Inc., Knightdale, NC. The architect was Gary Glueck, Nashville, NC.

Families Inc.

Families, Inc. Counseling Services has outpatient facilities throughout northeast and north central Arkansas. The new northeast Jonesboro facility includes offices, counseling spaces and a training room. The main goal of this project was to centralize numerous corporate operations and services at a single location to better serve clients and healthcare professionals. Another goal was to create a welcoming, modern space that clients would find soothing. Architectural metal products from CENTRIA helped to achieve these goals.

Family Dental Care Of Lemoore

A local dental office. Sounds like your typical run-of-the-mill design/build project, right? But the design for Family Dental Care Of Lemoore was no ordinary design. The facility's design was so successful that it was named the 2018 Star Building Systems Master Builder Award Winner of the Health-Related Category.

Family Life Center At Central Presbyterian Church

After finding that it was landlocked, the historic Central Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, Alabama, had purchased the Cooper House, one of the oldest homes in the Twickenham Historical District. Now called the Family Life Center, the renovated Cooper House fits the church’s goals for expansion. Renovations included standing seam roofing and a rainwater system by Ornametals Manufacturing, LLC, using natural VMZINC®.

Family Lodge At Dodge Ridge

DeGraff Development Inc. of Oakdale, California, recently completed the beautiful Family Lodge at Dodge Ridge, near Pinecrest, California. The 16,000 sq. ft. architecturally striking project used a roofing system of 24 gauge Span Lok panels in Weathered Copper color from AEP Span. The Swenson Snap Table® 6000 by Swenson Shear was used onsite for notching and shearing the panels for hemming. Located in the Dodge Ridge Wintersports Area, a family owned and operated ski area in the Sierras, the project was completed just in time for the start of the 2008 winter ski season.

Fannie Emanuel Apartments

Situated on a 2.5-acre landscaped site, Chicago’s Fannie Emanuel senior housing complex was renovated using 61,153 square feet of CENTRIA Formawall® smooth FWDS and segmented FWGX insulated metal panels.

Farley Elementary School

Approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of Dri-Design panels were used to help create a functional yet exciting environment for K-6 grade students at the new Farley Elementary School in Topeka, KS. The .080” aluminum panels were finished in Green, Terra Cotta, Silver and Gold. Design for the 93,000 sq. ft. facility was provided by HTK Architects, Topeka.

Farm Banquet Center

The Farm Banquet Center in Selma, NC is an eye-catching banquet hall and amphitheater made up of five building systems that total just over 14,000 sq. ft. Metal building framing and related products from Star Building Systems were used in the facility’s construction.

Farone & Son Inc. Funeral Home

The Farone & Son, Inc. Funeral Home in Liverpool, NY won first place in the commercial roofs category in ATAS International’s 2021 project of the year competition. Dutch Seam panels in Classic Bronze .032 aluminum were installed on the roof.

Farrar Green Home

A Metal Sales™ roof system was chosen to top an ambitious Net-Zero building. Rhonda and Nigel Farrar chose to work with Metal Sales on their new 3,000-square-foot home in Escondido, CA. The home, commonly referred to as the Farrar Green Home, overlooks beautiful Lake Hodges and was designed to be a model for green design by utilizing the latest commercially available green building products.

Favilli Family Medical Clinic

Located in Lakeland, FL, the Favilli Family Medical Clinic is a 9,000 sq. ft. facility that features a Rigid Frame metal building system by VP Buildings. The building is a three-practice medical center in a premier professional park in South Lakeland. A detailed EIFS-covered wall system on steel studs, with an extensive drive-through structure for patient drop-off on the front of the building, enhances the look of the facility. Meanwhile, upgraded finishes were used on both the interior and exterior. While the building was not LEED certified, the project has numerous LEED certified items.

Fayetteville Montessori Elementary School

“Freedom within limits” is one of the characteristics of a Montessori education, and the design of Fayetteville Montessori Elementary School in northwest Arkansas is a perfect example. Situated near a creek, the triangular structure cuts a modern and exciting figure that few would guess is the result of extreme constraints. Noteworthy about the project from a metal construction standpoint is the use of corrugated metal panels in its design. They feature a Fluropon paint finish from Valspar.

FDNY EMS Station 27

In the 1990’s, FDNY’s EMS stations were designed according to a prototype that relied heavily on masonry for its overall aesthetics. In 2006 however, New York City implemented a new design protocol for city-owned projects, placing a stronger emphasis on unique architectural character. The recently completed EMS Station 27 in the Bronx reflects that new direction. Utilized for its design was 6,300 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK architectural titanium zinc.

FDNY Marine 1 Firehouse

That it sits dockside is one of the things that makes Manhattan’s newest firehouse unusual. But what makes the 8,500 sq. ft. exceptional is its design. The iconic-looking structure is clad with 15,000 sq. ft. of RHEINZINK titanium zinc, manufactured by RHEINZINK America Inc.
