Brewhalla

Brewhalla is one of Fargo, North Dakota’s latest breweries, and it’s located in a building that’s older than the state itself. Named in honor of their Scandinavian heritage, the team at Drekker Brewing Company opened Brewhalla — its second location — in September 2018. Its features are heavily influenced by the building’s history, including its picturesque custom doors, provided by Midland Door Solutions of West Fargo.

Lux Row Distillers

Using Varco Pruden Buildings' Rigid Frame system, Lux Row Distillers combines eight framing shapes to bring together a 24,341 sq. ft. working distillery and visitor experience in Bardstown, Kentucky. Lux Row Distillers was selected as the Best of Agriculture & Food Processing Winner in the 2019 Varco Pruden Hall Of Fame presentation.

Round Rock Public Training Safety Center

Inspired by the uniforms worn by the first responders trained there, blue and gray metal panels from Dri-Design clad the new 65,000-square-foot Round Rock Public Safety Training Center in Round Rock, TX. The panels' long-lasting Sherwin-Williams Fluropon® paint finishes were applied to the metal in coil form prior to fabrication by Linetec.

Tallahassee Residence

The owners’ vision for the design of their new Tallahassee, Fla. home was that it have a “sophisticated farmhouse” look, as architect Brandon Ingram of C. Brandon Ingram Design in Tallahassee described it. “They wanted it to be comfortable but a little more ‘tailored’. We worked together to create a stylish look that realized their vision.” Petersen's Snap-Clad roofing panels are a key design element in achieving that vision.

Apex Friendship Middle School

Apex Friendship Middle School in Apex, North Carolina, opened in the fall of 2018. Not only is it large enough to hold more than 1,400 students, it will serve as a model for future schools in the Wake County Public School system. One of the key cladding materials chosen for the building's construction was insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan.

Michael B. Coleman Government Center

RHEINZINK America, Inc. and CENTRIA have formed a strategic marketing alliance. Showcasing their successful collaboration, the two companies recently worked together to provide architectural zinc façade cladding and roofing systems on the Michael B. Coleman Government Center in Columbus, Ohio. In Jan. 2019, the project earned LEED® Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

Central Oregon Garage Door Company specializes in unique door solutions, but with the help of Schweiss Doors, the Bend, OR company outdid itself with its installation of a cedar-clad hydraulic door on a vacation log cabin home in Oregon.

Northwest Distributors

The versatility of McElroy Metal's 238T symmetrical standing seam roof profile is unquestionable, as is the cleverness of the company's innovative approach to handling rooftop skylights when its panel systems are utilized in metal-over-metal retrofit roof applications. Both the panel system and the approach are on display at a recently completed roof-over at Northwest Distributors in Hays, KS.

Helena Aviation Readiness Center

In the late 1990s, a changed mission and substantial growth called for the conversion and expansion of the Helena Aviation Readiness Center’s relatively new attack battalion armory. After two decades in waiting, that project finally got the green light. Completed in August 2017, the new building now meets the current needs of the Montana Army National Guard and, thanks to the inclusion of metal wall panels from Citadel Architectural Products, conforms to the federal government’s high standards for sustainable construction.

Broadcom Parking Garage

The Broadcom Parking Garage, a necessary and integral portion of the HOK-designed, 1 million square-foot Broadcom campus, was transformed into a visually-appealing, open structure with CENTRIA EcoScreen® Cascade perforated metal panels in Champagne Pearl and Clay. CENTRIA, a leading building envelope science company, provided 20,050 square feet of product for the four-level, 812-space garage, located in San Jose, CA.

The Bower At The Yards

The Yards in Washington, DC is an adaptive reuse site on land that formerly belonged to the United States Navy. Used for shipbuilding and ordinance, its heritage played a pivotal role in its architecture adaption. A metal composite panel system from CEI Materials helped give a new luxury apartment complex on the site a look appropriate for its setting.

Huntsville Aquatics Center

Finding a single product that meets both aesthetic objectives and energy efficiency requirements can be challenging for some, but it was no trouble for the folks at Nola Van Peursem Architects. They specified insulated metal panels from Metl-Span for their plans involving the renovation and expansion of the Huntsville Aquatics Center in Huntsville, AL.

Islais Creek Motor Coach Maintenance & Operations Facility

The Islais Creek Motor Coach Maintenance & Operations Facility truly redefined the meaning of a long-term project. The design of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency’s new facilities was initiated in 1990. Phase I of the project was completed in 2013. Phase II, which features metal roof and wall panels from IMETCO, was completed in 2018.

Gyeongju Tower

Completed in the 7th century CE, the Hwanryongsa Temple's Wooden Pagoda was once the tallest wooden building in the entire world. Although destroyed in the 13th century, it remains an important symbol of the heritage of Gyeongju City, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. In creating a modern-day homage to the historic structure, designers utilized anodized aluminum processed by Lorin Industries.

The Lydian

The Lydian is the newest addition to Washington, DC’s Mount Vernon Triangle District. Part of a two-building development that includes the Lyric, it has sought-after amenities and features. As a nod to its modernity and style, the 14-story structure is accentuated with a metal fin clad with ALPOLIC® aluminum composite panels and finished with a prismatic paint formulated from LUMIFLON® FEVE-based resins by AGC Inc.

Cabela's - Gainesville, VA

Design for the new Cabela’s store in Gainesville, Va. reflects the company’s well-known lodge-inspired theme featuring high ceilings, raw exposed wood, stone masonry and, of course, the chain’s signature green roof. In this case, more than 20,000 sq. ft. of Petersen’s 22 gauge Snap-Clad panels finished in custom color East Georgia Green were used.

Ford Motor Co. Parking Decks

Decorative facades with swooping curves, created by Cambridge Architectural using powder-coated mesh, are featured on new employee parking decks at the Ford Engineering & Research Center campus in Dearborn, MI. The two structures, Parking Decks 300 and 400, were completed in 2019 and accommodate 3,900 vehicles. They incorporate nearly 100,000 square feet of metal mesh.

Canal Dock Boathouse

An historic boathouse in New Haven, CT is gone but not forgotten, thanks to the clever design of the $43 million, state-funded replacement structure. In addition to incorporating salvaged elements of the original boathouse, the new bigger and better Canal Dock Boathouse features two styles of insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels - North America.

Agtegra Cooperative

Agtegra Cooperative has expanded its service area to reach rural customers in 60 communities throughout North and South Dakota. One of those communities is Harrold, SD, home of the Harrold Municipal Airport and the site of Agtegra’s new crop spraying hangar. The steel building hangar was manufactured by Chief Buildings and features 70'-wide hydraulic doors from Schweiss Doors at both ends.
