PGCC Culinary Arts Center

The culinary students at Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) in Largo, Maryland now have a new facility to serve up their delicious creations. The college’s new Culinary Arts Center recently opened after three years of construction and is a state-of-the-art hub for PGCC’s culinary program. The Grimm + Parker designed building includes 9,800 square feet of Kingspan BENCHMARK Designwall 2000 insulated metal panels (IMPs) – 8,000 square feet in Silver Metallic and 1,800 square feet in Copper Penny.

CubeSmart Storage - Cranston, RI

It's unusual to see aesthetics prioritized on a self-storage project. But the new CubeSmart storage facility in Cranston, RI is no ordinary self-storage project. Thanks to the utilization of two colors of Green Span Profiles insulated panels from McElroy Metal as the primary cladding material—and the incorporation of rooftop solar panels—the two-building development is highly energy efficient too.

UPMC Outpatient Center - Ebensburg, PA

A world-renowned health care provider and insurer, Pittsburgh-based UPMC provides more care to the region’s most vulnerable citizens than any other health care institution. With the opening of a striking new $20 million outpatient facility in Ebensburg, PA, UPMC is bringing its world-class care to Cambria County residents. Among the materials featured on the project are metal wall panels from IMETCO, finished with premium paints from Sherwin-Williams.

Cliff Hangers

Approaching the new Cliff Hangers facility in Mooresville, NC, visitors are greeted by climbers scaling an outdoor climbing wall directly above the front doors. It's an impressive sight, but so too is the building itself. It is clad predominantly with two carefully arranged colors of Metl-Span insulated metal wall panels.

Meter Engineers Inc.

Evans Building Company Inc. of Wichita, KS designed and built a new facility in Kechi, KS for Meter Engineers, designers and fabricators of petroleum equipment. The project included four individual Rigid Frame structures from Varco Pruden Buildings that totaled more than 91,000 sq. ft.

Mission College Student Engagement Center

The 65,000-square-foot Mission College Student Engagement Center, phase two of the Main Building replacement project, serves as the Santa Clara, CA institution’s new front door. CENTRIA’s Formawall® and EcoScreen® transform the building into an energy-efficient gateway to the college itself.

Goose Creek High School

The Berkley County School District in South Carolina recently completed one of its most expansive and complicated renovation projects. The addition of 130,000 sq. ft. of classroom and facility space to Goose Creek High School just northwest of Charleston was accomplished with a combination of demolition, renovation and new construction - featuring metal panels from Petersen.

Simonds Garage

As a 30-year pilot in the captain’s seat for Continental and United Airlines, Kirk Simonds has been a part of many successful landings. In retirement, his landing spot is in The Woodlands, Texas, about 30 miles northwest of Houston. Going up instead of out, he expanded his garage in 2017. As part of the project, he replaced his old garage door with a state-of-the-art 18' x 7' bifold door from Schweiss Doors.

Fowler Lake Boardwalk

In 2016, the city council of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin was considering the parameters for a project intended to revitalize the town’s waterfront area. Among the elements desired was the rebuilding of a boardwalk and replacement of the boardwalk's old railing system with a new illuminated cable railing system by Feeney.

Urban Stead Cheese

With state-of-the-art equipment and a sleek new building, Urban Stead Cheese has taken the production of artisan cheeses to a new level. The company's new creamery, located in Cincinnati, OH's Evanston neighborhood, was constructed using insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan to provide not only an optimal production environment, but one that looks good too.

Markel Center, Institute For Contemporary Art

The Markel Center, Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will bring the most important, cutting-edge contemporary art exhibits in the world to the VCU campus and the city of Richmond. To give the building a presence equal to its importance, renowned architect Steven Holl clad the buillding's exterior with titanium zinc cladding materials from RHEINZINK America Inc.

IBEW Local 134

Members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 134 in Chicago celebrated the grand opening of their new headquarters and union hall in May 2018 – a renovation project that is part of the surrounding Bronzeville neighborhood revitalization. The facility features aluminum composite material cladding from 3A Composites USA.

Greenleaf Properties Buildings

Hail storms are not uncommon in Nebraska, and many times they can be very severe with hail ranging from a half-dollar to a softball in size. Recently two buildings, managed by Greenleaf Properties, found themselves in the crosshairs of just such an event - and this storm lasted nearly seven hours. The resulting damage was extensive, leading to a metal-over-metal reroof of the facilities using special factory-notched sub-purlins from Roof Hugger.

Hotel EMC2

As the name implies, Hotel EMC2—as in Albert Einstein’s mass-energy equivalence or E = mc2—is a science-themed hotel. Located in the Streeterville neighborhood of Chicago, the hotel was designed to be a one-of-a-kind space inspired by science, art and cuisine. The exterior of the 21-story hotel has a sleek aesthetic, utilizing Dri-Design Metal Wall Panels to achieve its modern look.

Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy

The Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy is expected to serve the community for generations. The City of Kansas City, Major League Baseball and the Kansas City Royals partnered to turn an old park into the site for an indoor training facility, four state-of-the-art outdoor diamonds and more. Specified for the exterior of the new building were insulated metal wall panels from Metl-Span.

MAAS Aviation

Mobile, AL is the site of MAAS Aviation's first U.S.-based facility, a twin-bay airplane paint shop, capable of painting two A320 Airbus planes simultaneously. The 48,309 sq. ft. hangar was built by Harrell Construction Inc. of Jacksonville, FL, using Rigid Frame and Continuous Beam framing by Varco Pruden Buildings.

Clemson Littlejohn Coliseum

Renovations and an addition to the Clemson Littlejohn Coliseum at Clemson University utilized the uniquely multi-purpose capabilities of CENTRIA’s Formawall® Dimension Series® insulated metal panels. Addressing both aesthetic and technical challenges, these metal panels in Arctic Ice and Slate Grey, in addition to IW Series rainscreen panels in Midnight Bronze, improved the building’s overall appearance and the fan experience at the arena.

Grayton Beach Residence

Located only a stone’s throw from the Gulf of Mexico, a new 4,500-sq.-ft. residence in Grayton Beach, Fla., is a “gorgeous addition to the neighborhood,” said roofing contractor Jamie Carter, president of Cartercraft Roofing, Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. General contractor Ray Jackson of Ray Jackson Construction agrees. An aluminum standing seam roof from Petersen was an integral part of the design for the new house.
