Oak Crest Retirement Village

When the metal standing seam roof over one of the skilled nursing facilities at the at Oak Crest Retirement Village in Parkville, Maryland separated, allowing water to penetrate the building, administrators choose to embrace the recently established “green” culture of the retirement community. The failing roof was retrofitted with a standing seam system by The Garland Company, Inc., avoiding a tear off and subsequently reducing landfill waste.

Oak Farm Vineyards Wine and Hospitality Facility

Meeting the requirements for durability and aesthetics, a standing seam metal roof from Drexel Metals tops the new Oak Farm Vineyards wine and hospitality facility in Lodi, Calif. Built by Nickell Construction of Galt, Calif., the new facility includes a 360-degree tasting bar, floor-to-ceiling vineyard views, a private room for wine club members, two indoor and two outdoor fireplaces and a covered terrace.

Oak Ridge National Laboratory Retrofit

Dow Building Solutions, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) have taken the first step toward tackling a major environmental concern – the amount of energy consumed by the 4.8 million commercial buildings in the United States. Dow, ORNL and design-build firm Paramount Metal Systems have turned a 50-year-old ORNL building into a state-of-the art, energy-efficient research facility. The completed facility also features metal roofing and siding from Custom-Bilt Metals, along with retrofit framing from Roof Hugger.

Oakland Community College Southfield Campus Addition

A major addition on the Southfield Campus of Oakland Community College in Southfield, MI, provides much-needed classroom and administrative space. To blend the new construction with an existing building, the project's architect finished the exterior of the addition with 28,000 sq. ft. of Metl-Span CF30 Architectural Flat panels. The 2" panels, installed horizontally, were finished in Regal White and Cool Metallic Silver.

Oak-Land Ford

With Programs Plus, re-branding with ALPOLIC aluminum composite material is easier than ever. Flexx Corporation, a Cambridge, Ontario, Canada-based aluminum composite material fabricator/installer, used Programs Plus to order ACM material for the recently renovated Oak-Land Ford dealership in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Oakland Museum Of California

In transforming the museum’s Art & History Galleries, 5,600 square feet of new gallery space was added and a 90-foot stainless steel canopy was added to the main Oak Street entrance to welcome visitors. For its consistent quality and excellent finish, the stainless steel chosen for the project was Contrarian Metal Resources’ InvariMatte®.

Ocean City Arts Center

The Ocean City Arts Center began as a modest fitness center with racquetball courts, and also included a natatorium and library. Located in Ocean City, NJ, the community center’s continued growth in popularity prompted city administrators and the library’s board of directors to initiate several renovations and additions in an effort to create a true community center. A high-performance standing seam metal roof system from The Garland Company Inc. is now featured on the facility.

Ocean Gateway Ferry Terminal

Ocean Gateway is a 15,000 square-foot marine passenger terminal located in Portland, ME that accommodates the international ferry traffic between Portland and Nova Scotia. One of the goals of the Ocean Gateway project was to incorporate innovative materials and products on the terminal while continuing to embrace the historical heritage of the city's waterfront setting. Within the scheme of its design, the new building features Omega-Lite® ACM panels from Laminators Inc.

Ocean Reef Club Water Treatment Plant

Located on the northernmost tip of Key Largo in the Florida Keys, Ocean Reef Club is one of the country’s most comprehensive private club communities, offering 1,700 waterfront estates, private homes, condominiums and an oceanfront inn. Recently, solar metal roof panels were added to the roof of the club's 6,400 sq. ft. reverse osmosis water plant. It was a project more challenging than it sounds, and one that involved attachment products from S-5!.

Ocean Surveys, Inc.

Most northern latitude metal contractors were extremely challenged during the 2010-11 winter in getting their projects started. A great example of this is Pat Munger Construction, Inc. of Branford, CT, who had to dig out of more than normal snowfall to start a retrofit re-roofing project. The case in point is a project for Ocean Surveys, Inc. - a scientific data firm - located in Old Saybrook, CT. Roof Hugger, Inc. was called in to help create a retrofit sub-framing system that would eliminate the slope transition.

Odyssey Elementary School

Bodies in Motion: The Animal Kingdom. That's the branding behind the design of the new Odyssey Elementary School in Farmington, UT. And it was with that in mind that the school's main entrance was adorned with a band of colorful metal tiles, manufactured by ATAS International of Allentown, PA, and finished with premium coatings by Minneapolis-based Valspar.

Office Mart

Picard Steel Erectors (PSE) of Breaux Bridge, LA completed a metal-over-metal roof retrofit for Office Mart, an office supply business in New Iberia, LA, using Roof Hugger, Inc. sub-purlins. The overall project was to re-roof the combination of a Mex-Tex building constructed in the mid-1960’s and a Star building built in the 1980’s.

OhioHealth Performance Center

When the Haslam and Edwards families purchased Major League Soccer's Columbus (Ohio) Crew franchise in late 2018, it was a win for the city and the organization, which got a new stadium and a new training facility, dubbed the OhioHealth Performance Center. The new building features aluminum composite metal wall panels from Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA, on its exterior.

Oklahoma Heart Institute

Hillcrest Medical Center’s striking new Oklahoma Heart Institute in Tulsa presents an inviting appearance both inside and out. The six-story, 183,000 sq. ft. building is capped with a round rotunda that emits a beacon visible at night across half of the city. Approximately 23,000 linear feet of Flex-C Trac and Flex-C Angle cold-formed/light-gauge steel framing products from Flex-Ability Concepts were used to frame the rotunda and entire front façade as well as create the interior curves and radiuses that help provide a welcoming feel.

Old Masters

The Old Masters Distribution Center in Orange City, IA, features metal building framing and exterior cladding products by VP Buildings. The facility includes warehouse and offices for the distribution of hazardous paints and varnishes. Products supplied by VP Buildings include SSR standing seam roofing formed from Galvalume-coated steel; Vee Rib wall panels in an Egyptian White color; and TextureClad wall panels in a Driftwood color.

Old Tappan Residence

Architectural panels made with Lorin AnoZinc® and ClearBrite® are the focal point of the exterior for a private residence in Old Tappan, New Jersey, designed by architectural firm Architectura and built by Corsair Construction.

A big compliment to architects is hearing that one of their building designs has become a recognizable landmark. That’s the case for architects at the Los Angeles office of Arquitectonica International Corp. who designed the Olume residential building in San Francisco’s Mission District featuring custom earth-toned colors of aluminum composite material by 3A Composites USA.

One Dalton Place

PPG Duranar™ XL and PPG Duracron™ coatings were used on One Dalton Place, a new 61-story skyscraper located in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood. It was designed by Henry Cobb of Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and Gary Johnson of Cambridge Seven.
