Measuring a total of 790,827 square feet, the Natural Milk Production, LLP facility in Harlan, IA, utilized more than 1 million sq. ft. of Star Building Systems’ DuraRib Roof and Wall Panels in Shell White color, in addition to Star’s metal building systems. This agricultural complex is made up of seven buildings with four connector buildings. Due to its size and complexity, this project utilized Star pre-engineered metal buildings instead of conventional construction.

The new Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton serves members of the military in a healing and calming environment – from the moment they arrive on the hospital’s campus to the moment they leave. A four-story parking garage, featuring Banker Wire metal fabric railings and partitions, helps establish this calming environment and creates a sense of tranquility for patients.

Dublin Building Systems of Dublin, Ohio utilized products from Varco Pruden Buildings to complete a massive 355,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Urbana, Ohio for Navistar, a leading manufacturer of commercial trucks, buses, defense vehicles and engines.

The Navy Federal Credit Union is in the middle of a growth spurt that is seeing it build an average of 20 new branches every year. Serving all branches of the U.S. armed forces, along with Department of Defense employees and military veterans, the organization had approximately 8 million customers at the end of 2018. A new branch opened in St. Marys, Ga. - featuring aluminum roofing by Petersen - is emblematic of the influence Southern coastal design has had on NFCU’s newer facilities in the region.

Sustainability and employee comfort were at the very top of the list of requirements as officials from the Navy Federal Credit Union began planning for the major expansion of the institution's Pensacola, Florida call center. Among the products featured on the exteriors of two already completed buildings and another one still under construction are flat lock wall panels. They were fabricated by MetalTech-USA from RHEINZINK natural zinc, a product of RHEINZINK America Inc.

Given the building’s environmental mission, it seems only fitting that environmentally friendly products would be utilized for the construction of the new $70 million NCAR – Wyoming Super Computing Center (NWSC) in Cheyenne, WY. Completed in October 2012, the building features on its exterior a range of metal construction products, including Reynobond ACM, fabricated and installed by Commerce City, CO-based Douglass Colony.

The new Nebraska Public Power District Operations Center in Norfolk, NE consolidates four previously separate locations into one highly sustainable, green facility. The 87,000 sq. ft. building has achieved LEED Gold certification. Featured on the building's exterior are 15,000 sq. ft. of Dri-Design rainscreen metal wall panels. Most of the panels were fabricated from zinc while the remainder are aluminum.

The Purdue University engineering program counts 22 NASA astronauts among its graduates, including Neil Armstrong, the namesake of the school's new facility. Constructed as part of the university's strategic plan to remain at the forefront of engineering education, the new Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering increases the size of the university's engineering complex by 60 percent. The university commissioned RATIO Architects Inc. of Indianapolis, IN to design a building that will continually inspire the next generation of engineers to "reach for the stars." Playing a significant role in turning that design goal into reality was Reynobond® aluminum composite material, from Alcoa Architectural Products.

Nelson Family Farms needed an additional storage facility for its growing fleet of farm equipment, to be built on nearby property. The Nelsons reached out to Dan Larson, owner of Dan Larson Construction in Vincent, Iowa, to put up their new shed, using metal roofing and wall panels from American Building Components.

When Paul Asteris of FKP Architects first conceived the signature façade of the newly expanded Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children, his vision was to have the glass and metal framing mimic the protective framework of an arbor. The use of Duranar Sunstorm® coatings combined with a random discovery of Azuria® glass by PPG helped make that idea a reality.

Piscataway, New Jersey, will now and forever be known as the home of a unique, one of a kind, residential net zero energy structure appropriately named “The Net Zero Home”. Designed and built as a pilot project by Suntuity Home (in partnership with Square Center LLC Architecture and Design and Englert Inc.) the nearly 6,000 square foot home was built with sustainability, energy efficiency and comfort in mind.

NetApp, a company specializing in storage and data management solutions, purchased three empty buildings in North Carolina’s Research Triangle Region as part of their East Coast business expansion plan. Renovating Building 1 - to accommodate research labs, product development and customer service functions - was the company’s first priority. Metal wall systems from CENTRIA played a major role in the renovation.

During the planning stages of the company’s new office headquarters, Jim and Anne Davis, owners of New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc., insisted on a building that reflected what their company was all about: speed, motion and high performance. A variety of panel products from Morin, A Kingspan Group Company, aided the design team in achieving those goals.

At first glance, the New College of Florida Academic Center in Sarasota is another architecturally-pleasing structure. The building, roofed with Petersen Aluminum’s Tite-Loc Plus standing seam metal panels, sits at the entrance to the campus and makes a bold, welcoming statement. But more importantly, the Academic Center building is the only structure on campus to have achieved Hurricane Shelter Approval status from the Florida Department of Education.

CENTRIA, a leading building envelope science company, contributed its innovative metal panel and window products to satisfy the design and performance requirements of the New England Conservatory Student Life Performance Center (SLPC).

The New England Regional Council of Carpenters (NERCC) has represented the interests of its members for more than 130 years. When the new home of NERCC and the Boston Carpenters Training Center was designed in Boston, MA, it was important to organization leaders that it be comprised of both traditional and modern architectural influences. To achieve this goal, the new $20-million 74,000 sq. ft., three-story Carpenters Center features a mix of materials, including modern Alucobond® Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) by 3A Composites USA.

The studio and residence hall facility for the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester, NH, is now located in striking new and renovated facilities, featuring metal panels from Petersen Aluminum. The project involved relocation and renovation of the original Manchester High School, a two-story brick building constructed in the 1840’s, to one side of the site. A six-story steel-framed building was then erected adjacent to it to provide studio space and student housing.

It was love at first sight for a New Hampshire couple involved in real estate flipping. So rather than remodel and sell the 1880’s Victorian they’d discovered in West Lebanon, NH, they decided instead to renovate the home and keep it for themselves. In addition to revamping the interior—which included adding a home gymnasium—they re-did the exterior, making its signature feature a new Englert Series 1300 standing seam metal roof.

Like many community ice arenas across the country, the New Hope Ice Arena in New Hope, Minnesota, needed some major renovations. The facility, built in the 1970s during a nationwide boom in the construction of community ice arenas, still had its original ice rink. As part of the renovations, the facility is now covered with a new standing seam roof system from The Garland Company Inc.

Coinciding with the institution’s 30th anniversary, the new home of New York City’s New Museum of Contemporary Art is set to open on December 1, 2007. The building is the first fine arts museum ever to be constructed from the ground up in Manhattan. And if that alone were not enough to make it special, its exterior cladding combines extruded aluminum wall panels with an expanded metal mesh covering. The system used was developed exclusively for the project, with M.G. McGrath of Maplewood, MN, assisting in the design and handling the installation.
