Microtech

Based in Costa Rica, Microtech’s facility provides precision manufacturing and supply chain innovation through capability and tooling for small metal and plastic components. As part of the company’s desire for new-world technology and a “forward-thinking manufacturing” approach, Microtech wanted more control of its energy and power requirements. That goal was met with the help of rooftop solar attachment products by S-5!.

Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary

After years of shared space and retrofitted facilities, Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN, has a brand new, high-tech campus building constructed to meet its specific needs. The 130,000 sq. ft. main building includes a 1,000-seat auditorium, 13 classrooms, eight lecture and seminar halls, dining hall and full-service bookstore open to the public. Approximately 34,000 sq. ft. of Petersen 18” Snap-Clad™ panels finished in Dark Bronze was utilized for the mansard style roof. In addition, 26,000 sq. ft. of material finished in Bone White was used for custom fascia and cornices.

Middlebury Union Middle School

The Middlebury Union Middle School in Middlebury, Vermont was strongly in need of a new roof. When district officials ordered the replacement of the old shingle roof with something new, a jobsite manufactured metal roof system from Perth Amboy, NJ’s Englert Inc. was the top choice.

Middlesex Turnpike Office Building

Insulated metal panels from Metl-Span were specified to provide a more modern look to the two-story Middlesex Turnpike office building in Bedford, Mass. The owner wanted to escort the facility, erected in the 1970s, into the 21st century.

Midtown Exchange Tower

The Midtown Exchange Tower in Minneapolis, MN, is the culmination of a two-year effort to restore a former Sears Tower on the city’s Lake Street. Today, the building contains more than 360,000 sq. ft. of office space; a Global Marketplace of ethnic businesses and entrepreneurs, which occupies more than 75,000 sq. ft.; a 128-room full-service hotel and an eclectic mix of townhomes, condominiums and rental apartments geared to a wide range of income-earners. The use of PPG architectural glass and coatings was instrumental in helping the developers maintain the building’s historic character, while enhancing its energy-efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Midwest Machinery - Sauk Rapids, MN

At 43,500 sq. ft., the new John Deere store in Sauk Rapids, MN is big. And it’s a showplace of sorts, with an eye-catching 100’ x 160’ consumer display section and a retail counter that greets visitors with a colorful prairie scene that includes an old country barn and a depiction of the original 1-bottom plow that launched the John Deere machinery company in the mid 1800s. The building is clad with insulated metal wall panels from Kingspan and is equipped with a hydraulic door manufactured to specification by Schweiss Doors of Fairfax, MN.

Midwest Testing

With its clean lines, large windows and polished aluminum detailing, the new headquarters of Midwest Testing in St. Louis, MO, is modern and inviting. It was designed by Treanor Architects of Lawrence, KS, and features above its main entrance a curved aluminum canopy from Mapes Canopies LLC of Lincoln, NE. Utilized on the project was Mapes’ Super Lumideck Arched Canopy system. Extending 6’ out from the building wall, it measures 19’6” from end to end. It is trimmed with matching-finish 8” J fascia.

Mike Ilitch School Of Business

Located in the heart of Detroit, District Detroit is the Motor City’s literal epicenter of professional sports and live entertainment. There’s now something in District Detroit for students too: Wayne State University’s new Mike Ilitch School of Business. The building's exterior design is an expression of a modern corporate space, which carries through to the interior with the help of Perforating Imaging Panels from Dri-Design.

Mill Woods Library

Millennium High School Renovation

The renovated Millennium High School's forward-looking design begins with its exterior, where PAC-CLAD metal wall panels from Petersen are arranged in a complex pattern that helps break up the mass of the 45,000-sq.-ft. structure and sets it apart from the typical high school gymnasium.

Miller Outdoor Theater

Because the show must go on, what served as a canopy-style roof at the Miller Outdoor Theater in Houston needed repairs in short order. Byrne Metals installed more than 18,000 square feet of copper 238T standing seam panels during the 5-month offseason by calling in the roll former from McElroy Metal that runs panels right onto the roof deck.

Mills Fleet Farm Parking Garage

In the Downtown East neighborhood of Minneapolis, the Mills Fleet Farm Parking Garage provides much needed parking for local venues. It’s not only a convenient parking location but also an example that parking garages can go beyond function and into the realm of design. The Dri-Design Wall Panels with Perforated Imaging, which are featured at the entrances, depict a natural woods scene, thereby enlivening the streetscape.

Milton & Catherine Hershey Conservatory

Hershey’s chocolate is one of America's most iconic products. And the legacy of Milton Hershey is alive and thriving in Hershey, PA, the town that bears his name. Tourists flock to Hershey for many reasons, including to visit the historic Hershey Gardens. A new conservatory at the Gardens is built to the same quality as those that preceded it. It is topped with a metal roof whose longevity and good looks are assured thanks to a premium Valspar paint finish.

Milton High School

When Milton High School in Alpharetta, GA, outgrew its older downtown building, designers of the new structure utilized 8,000 sq. ft. of Petersen SNAP-CLAD™ 24 gauge panels to roof the dome-topped, multi-story entry hall that is the focal point of the facility. The 16” panels were finished in Slate Gray. In addition, approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD flat stock was used for coping on the overall project.

Milton, Florida Home

Overlooking Escambia Bay on Florida’s Gulf Coast, this waterfront home provides a dramatic example of the innovative use of metal in residential construction. Highlighting the palette of materials are Petersen corrugated aluminum panels. Approximately 3,500 sq. ft. of .032” aluminum 2.67” x 7/8” corrugated panels clad the residence along with 2,800 sq. ft. of .032” aluminum flush panels. The panels were finished with PAC-CLAD® KYNAR 500® coating in Champagne Metallic and Copper Penny Metallic. In addition, 1,000 sq. ft. of .032” aluminum flashing was utilized.

Milwaukee Department Of Transportation Central Fleet Headquarters

An opportunity presented itself to streamline Milwaukee's Department of Transportation by putting many divisions under one roof. In doing so, a renovation and expansion of the existing Central Shop building, previously used by the Fleet Management and Highway Divisions, was necessary. The Dri-Design Tapered Series Wall Panel System was used on the expanded area of the new headquarters to create a sense of movement, symbolizing the transportation department's function.

Mini Warehouse - Carolina, Puerto Rico

Florida-based WES Industries was able to help Mini Warehouse of Carolina, Puerto Rico successfully move ahead in its efforts to save on energy costs. The client took advantage of a tax incentive to install 768 solar power modules on over 25,000 sq. ft. of roof area. To secure the 130-kilowatt array to the roof WES used attachment solutions from S-5!™ of Colorado Springs, CO. The company’s S-5-PV Kits provided the strength the project demanded and the ease-of-installation WES Industries required.
