McGlothlin Residence

It’s a rare occasion when the roofing installer knows and understands everything about what the customer wants. The best chance of that happening is when the installer and the customer are the same person. Looking for the dream roof he always wanted, Contractor Ronnie McGlothlin chose the 138T standing seam system from McElroy Metal.

McHenry West High School Addition

The addition at McHenry West High School in McHenry, Ill., became necessary with the consolidation of 10th through 12th graders at the west campus. The new area would focus on “science, technology and industry offering college and career-oriented pathways.” CENTRIA’s Formawall Dimension Series building envelope system, in five colors, helped create a unique aesthetic for the addition.

McIntosh School Of Nursing

The J. Paul and Eleanor McIntosh College of Nursing offers a unique educational environment, created through a partnership between Northeast Community College in Norfolk, NE and the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing. The 44,000 sq. ft. facility, which houses Northeast Community College’s nurse and nurse aid programs plus the University of Nebraska College of Nursing’s undergraduate and graduate-level programs, has a masonry exterior trimmed with aluminum rainscreen wall panels by Dri-Design.

McLennan Residence

Most architects have visions of someday designing their dream home. For Jason F. McLennan, architect and CEO of McLennan Design, that dream has come true. Showcasing both his design talents and his commitment to sustainability, the Washington-based architect topped his recently completed, one-of-a-kind house with a Metal Sales metal roof that features Valspar's most sophisticated, most environmentally friendly paint finish.

McLeod Hangar

Dr. Robert McLeod of Creston, British Columbia, should be proud of his new 44' x 30' hangar. It features a beautifully designed exterior, highlighted by Douglas Fir log posts and beams, and features a trio of 3' x 6' Douglas Fir-trimmed windows. Best of all, the hangar has a premium hangar door. The 42'-6" x 12'-6" bifold liftstrap door was manufactured by industry leader Schweiss Doors. It’s equipped with an automatic latching system and remote opener.

Meadowlands Sports Complex Train Station

DMR Architects of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey designed the new train station at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, New Jersey to bring rail service to the Meadowlands Sports Complex, a world-class facility comprised of the Meadowlands Racetrack, Giants Stadium and the Izod Center, all of which used to be serviced only by bus and vehicular traffic. Integral to the new station's design is Englert job-site rollformed metal roofing.

Measurement Systems Laboratory - NASA Langley Research Center

Knowing how to tackle big projects is the mark of a capable fabricator. And as its work on the 175,000 sq. ft. Measurement Systems Laboratory at the NASA Langley Research Center demonstrates, Manchester, MI-based CEI Materials is indeed capable. The company fabricated and installed more than 90,000 sq. ft. of ALPOLIC/fr aluminum composite material for the recently completed project, while handling the fabrication and installation of two other wall systems as well.

MEEMIC

Approximately 7,600 sq. ft. of Metl-Span CF-30 and CF-36 Architectural Flat wall panels were used to highlight the new MEEMIC Insurance Company headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI. The insulated metal wall panels, provided in a custom Champagne color, were part of the diverse palette of building materials incorporated into Neumann/Smith Architecture's design.

Meese Residence

When the Meese family started planning construction of a new 5,000 sq. ft. home in Duluth, Minnesota, they did not have to look long and hard to make a decision about roofing. The Meeses had used a Met-Tile tile facsimile roof from McElroy Metal for their previous home and were very pleased with the looks and performance of the product. When it came time to sell the home, they also found that the Met-Tile roof added to its curb appeal and value. As a result, they once again selected a Slate Gray Met-Tile roof for their new residence.

Membrane Filtration Building, Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility

When the City of Spokane, Wash., was planning for a major upgrade of its water treatment facility, it was important to choose construction materials that would stand the test of time. Insulated metal wall panels and standing seam roofing from MBCI were selected for the new Membrane Filtration Building at the Riverside Park Water Reclamation Facility.

Mendocino Transit Authority Bus Maintenance Facility

With its vehicles logging almost 900,000 miles annually, it is imperative that the Mendocino Transit Authority (MTA) in Northern California have a state-of-the-art shop to keep its buses running in top shape. In August 2012, the agency dedicated its new bus maintenance facility in Ukiah. The exterior of the 17,196-square-foot structure includes insulated metal roof and wall panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center

Metal roofing and siding from AEP Span of West Sacramento, CA, was among the key products utilized in the design of the newly completed Mercer Slough Environmental Education Center in Bellevue, WA. The center is comprised of a series of buildings built into the forest at the edge of Mercer Slough. It acts as both a gathering space for nature lovers and an environmental education center for people of all ages. The project's architect was Mark Johnson of Jones & Jones Architects.

Merck Serono Headquarters

Designed by Murphy Jahn Architects of the United States and completed in the fall of 2006, the new world headquarters of Merck Serono in Geneva, Switzerland is comprised of a sprawling six-story building nestled among and integrating a trio of smaller historically significant industrial structures. As a means of establishing a visual relationship between the 463,000 sq. ft. of new construction and the existing buildings—in a manner that complied with preservation orders protecting the latter—the architect topped both the new building and the renovated structures with 90,000 sq. ft. of Kalzip™ 65/500 standing seam aluminum roofing from Corus Building Systems.

Mercy Flights Hangar

S&B James Construction, an American Buildings Company (ABC) authorized Builder, reconstructed a new campus for Mercy Flights, Inc., a local non-profit organization. Located at the Rouge Valley International-Medford (Oregon) Airport, the new campus combines an ambulance dispatch and training building with an aircraft and ground ambulance maintenance shop and parking.

Mercy Health Center Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City, OK, has renovated and expanded its Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to incorporate the most current technology and care unit design. Design for the 21,000 sq. ft. renovation features prominent curves and complex radiuses in hallways, nurses’ stations and common areas. Products from Flex-Ability Concepts were used to create those curves and radiuses.

Mercy Health Muskegon Medical Center

CENTRIA®, manufacturer of metal wall and roof panels, supplied its Intercept modular metal wall panel system for the recently constructed Mercy Health Muskegon Medical Center in Muskegon, MI. A $271-million, 10-story health care facility, the new building effectively doubles the amount of floor space for medical staff to treat patients.

Merrill Hangar

Approaching Dick Merrill’s wood-frame barn for the first time, you’d not guess it to be a hangar for his 180 Cessna Spirit of Columbus airplane. Helping to disguise it is the bifold door installed in one end wall. Manufactured by Schweiss Doors, it blends in so well, you can hardly detect it.

Merrimack County Nursing Home

Products from MeTecno USA provide both structural and aesthetic benefits through their use in the $40 million makeover of the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH. Three different products are featured on the 143-year-old facility. They were chosen because of initial cost, long-term maintenance costs and freedom of design expression. The project was completed in March 2008 with Warrenstreet Architects of Concord, NH, serving as the project's architect. The metal wall and roof panel systems were installed by AJ Desjardins Roofing Co. Inc.

Mesa Community College Student Services Center

Built into a 50-foot hillside, the new Mesa Community College Student Services Center in San Diego, California incorporates PPG coatings and glass to help seamlessly integrate both the local landscape and 16 different academic departments into its open, airy and energy-efficient 85,000-square-foot space. Duranar® fluoropolymer coatings and Solarban® solar control low-e glass manufactured by PPG are vital to the center’s performance, functionality and contemporary design.
