Marlins Park

Completed in May 2012, Marlins Park is the first ballpark in Major League Baseball to achieve LEED Gold Certification for new construction. Home to the Miami Marlins, the new park is located on the former site of the Orange Bowl in the midst of a bustling public transportation hub. A variety of architectural metal products from CENTRIA were featured in the facility’s construction.

Marquis Condominiums

Over 34,000 sq. ft. of aluminum louver products from Ohio Gratings, Inc. (OGi) of Canton, Ohio were utilized on the exterior of the newly completed Marquis Condominiums project in Miami, Florida. The company’s LG-60 and LG-100 louvers were incorporated on the development’s parking garage while LG-37 louvers were used as grilles around the mechanicals on the roof.

Marriott Hotel At Gateway Center

The Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel at Gateway Center features a Porte-Cochere which not only provides shelter for arriving guests, but also serves as a distinct visual beacon for the project. Not surprisingly, its curving roofline alludes to the aerodynamic shape of the wings on the airplanes flying above. It is wrapped with ALPOLIC aluminum composite panels that were fabricated by Altech Panel Systems.

Marriott SpringHill Suites

Catering to the business traveler the new Marriott SpringHill Suites in Corona, NY blends contemporary styling with modern amenities to keep its guests revitalized and focused. The hotel's sleek, inviting look was created by blending 66,000 sq. ft. of Omega-Lite® panels from Laminators Inc. into its design.

Martco Ltd.

Martco Limited Partnership is a manufacturer of engineered forest products such as hard wood lumber, oriented strand board, pine plywood and treated poles. They produce over 850 million square feet of oriented strand board annually. To accommodate such large production, Martco utilized a Metallic Building Company pre-engineered building system for this multi-million dollar project in Oakdale, LA. The massive plant facility is comprised of several buildings and totaled more than 580,000 square feet.

Martin High School

Voters in Martin, Michigan were asked for more money to fund substantial facilities upgrades at Martin High School. By a 2-1 margin, they voted Yes, allowing plans to move forward for the construction of a new auditorium, a new gymnasium, new outdoor athletic facilities and more. Among the products utilized in the design and construction of the two new building sections were aluminum composite panels by Alucoil.

Mary Pretlow Anchor Branch Library

Located at a historic trolley station site overlooking Chesapeake Bay, the new Mary Pretlow Anchor Branch Library in Virginia Beach, VA provides an iconic look for visitors and residents arriving at the bayfront. The roof of the structure features a wide array of slopes, levels and intricate details that create an impressive visual display. A cupola tops off the building to add to the coastal feel. Approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD .040” aluminum Silver Metallic Snap-Clad panels by Petersen Aluminum provided the flexibility to meet demanding design objectives.

Maryland Live! Casino

The Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, MD, is one of the largest malls on the East Coast and a leading tourist attraction. In 2010, residents voted to enhance the Arundel Mills Commercial District’s 3 million sq. ft. of retail and entertainment space with a casino. Ground was broken in January 2011, with the doors to the Maryland Live! Casino - clad in Alcoa Architectural Products’ Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) and products from Kawneer - opened 17 months later.

Maryland Public Health Laboratories Administration Building

The new Maryland Public Health Laboratories Administration Building was part of the 235,000 square foot, five-level renovation project of a 40-year-old building in east Baltimore. The state-of-the-art laboratory facility, utilizing architectural metal products from CENTRIA, houses critical testing materials and equipment and annually conducts more than 10 million tests.

Masonic Amphitheater

Designed, fabricated, and installed by a student team at Virginia Tech, the Masonic Amphitheater in Clifton Forge, VA, provides a public park and performance space for the rural Appalachian community. Among the products used for the structure’s construction were ALPOLIC composite panels from Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America.

Massachusetts College Of Art And Design Residence Hall

The practical goal of the new $61-million 21-story Student Residence Hall at Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) in Boston may have been to provide 145,600 square feet of on-campus accommodations for 493 students for its opening in the fall of 2012. But the unique design of the new Residence Hall - which is clad in 5,500 Alucobond® Plus aluminum composite panels - has met an aesthetic goal to set the building apart on the Boston skyline.

Mathews Harley-Davidson

Mathews Harley-Davidson has been located in Fresno, California since 1961, passing the sales and service tradition of the iconic motorcycles through generations of the family. The plan is to continue that tradition into the future with the recent construction of a new 11,615 sq. ft. showroom facility – utilizing metal products from Metallic Building Company - which was completed in July 2012.

Sometimes in roofing, it's okay to just roll with it. In Garland representative Jason Moronnolte’s case, field roll-forming steel panels on site was the perfect solution to conquer the tight barrel curved roof on the Matilija Junior High School Gymnasium in Ojai, California.

Mattahunt Elementary School

Originally built in the 1960’s, the exterior envelope of Mattahunt Elementary School in Boston was failing. In considering repairs, the Boston Public Facilities Department sought a new, long-term, high-performance, cost-effective building envelope that would express the education aspirations of the school. The solution was found with a new Dri-Design Rainscreen Metal Cladding System.

Mattos House

The Mattos House in Fort Myers, Florida, represents the new standard in energy efficient, environmentally friendly design. Constructed with structural insulated panels (SIPS) and topped with jobsite rollformed metal roofing, the house is also strong enough to withstand hurricane-force winds. The roofing was fabricated and installed by Crowther Roofing and Sheet Metal of Florida, Inc., a Sentrigard™ Metal Roofing Systems Certified Contractor. The rollformer it used was a Schlebach Quadro and the roofing material was Sentriclad™. Both are distributed by N.B. Handy under the umbrella of its Sentrigard™ Metal Roofing Systems program.

For most businesses, success spurs growth. The Maui Brewing Company is no exception. To meet the surging demand for its locally brewed craft beers, the award-winning company recently expanded into a newly constructed 42,000 square foot facility in Kihei, HI. Utilized for the building's construction were insulated metal panel systems from Kingspan Insulated Panels.

Max Planck Florida Institute For Neuroscience

The new Max Planck Florida Institute For Neuroscience is a postmodern, glass-and-metal laboratory and office building with amenities designed to attract world-class scientists and to support sensitive, advanced diagnostics. To create the aesthetic desired, and to meet the Florida Building Code (FBC) and Miami-Dade County Hurricane Building Code requirements, the project’s architects specified Reynobond® with Kevlar® and traditional Reynobond Aluminum Composite Material (ACM).

Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal

Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia is the world’s busiest, hosting more than 90 million travelers per year. When it came to designing the new Maynard H. Jackson Jr. International Terminal, planners wanted to give passengers a pleasant respite from the stresses of air travel, while also functioning as a wayfinding system that helped people navigate its 1.2 million sq. ft. of space. Coatings from PPG are displayed prominently in the new terminal.

McAllen Public Library

The new McAllen, Texas, Public Library - which opened on the site of a vacant Walmart - was envisioned by city officials to include environmentally friendly features. From the perspective of Boultinghouse Simpson Gates Architects in McAllen, no design could be more environmentally conscious than adaptively reusing the former “big box” retail store. Alucobond® aluminum composite material by 3A Composites USA played a key role in the design.

McCallum Arts Center

Described as “a work of art”, the new McCallum Arts Center building in Austin, TX presents a dramatic environment in which students from across the Austin Independent School District pursue an accelerated, comprehensive arts curriculum offered by the McCallum Fine Arts Academy. Featured prominently on the facility are metal panels by Petersen Aluminum.
