Maplewood Library

Maplewood, MN-based M.G. McGrath has established itself as a leading fabricator and installer of custom architectural metal façade systems. Examples of the firm’s work can be seen throughout its home state, including in the company’s own backyard. The exterior of the Maplewood Library is a showcase for McGrath’s talents, featuring 8,000 sq. ft. of the company’s hook seam wall panels—fabricated from RHEINZINK material—and 8,500 sq. ft. of .090”-thick flush seam wall panels faced with expanded aluminum sheets. McGrath also created for the project 8,500 sq. ft. of prefinished liner panels.

Margrethekirken Church Renovation

The Margrethekirken is one of the most famous modern church buildings in all of Denmark. Located in the city of Aalborg and completed in the 1970s, this architecturally impressive place of worship was designed by Ole Knudsen, MAA of Knudsen & Ostergaard a/s of Denmark. Through the years, due primarily to the type of insulation/moisture sealant used, mold developed on the church's roof beams and eventually led to rot. With the entire structure threatened, church officials authorized a $1.6 million renovation project that included re-cladding the signature steeple with Reynobond® aluminum composite material.

Mariano's Fresh Market - Oak Lawn, IL

The newest stand-alone Mariano’s Fresh Market grocery store in the fast-growing retail chain’s empire has opened in Oak Lawn, Ill. The store showcases a modern design using classical materials including metal products from Petersen, stone and glass. It is the anchor tenant in Phase II of the Stony Creek Promenade in Oak Lawn, Ill.

Marina Blue

For more than 30 years, architect Arquitectonica of Miami, FL, has been known for its audacious and colorful building designs. Both characteristics are on full display at Marina Blue, a vibrant condomium complex that artfully intersects two 60-story towers of glass and steel in a soaring edifice over Miami’s Biscayne Bay. Playing key roles in the project are glass and coatings products from PPG.

Marina Condominiums

With its gleaming corrugated aluminum cladding, the $17 million, 14-story Marina Condominium in Madison, WI, has become an instant landmark and serves as a constant reminder of the city's renaissance. Kenton Peters & Associates designed the building, which sits on the edge of Lake Monona and offers stylish urban living. The 7/8"-deep, .040"-thick aluminum panels featured on its exterior were manufactured by Alcoa Architectural Products and installed by Architectural Products of Wausau, WI. The project is purported to be one of the first large-scale residential buildings in the United States with a facade of corrugated aluminum.

Marine Corps Base Hawaii BEQ

When the project team started planning the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, Hawaii, they sought a design that would complement existing buildings on the Base while combining aesthetics with construction economies. A Met-Tile aluminum “tile panel” roofing system from McElroy Metal provided a similar look to the existing clay and concrete tile roofs at a significantly lighter weight, while also delivering the many performance benefits associated with metal roofing.

Marine Gateway

The Marine Gateway mixed-use development opened in the spring of 2016 in south Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, as the first major transit-oriented development integrated into Vancouver’s Canada Line rapid transit rail system. It’s also served by the South Vancouver Bus Loop. The project showcases color-changing aluminum composite (ACM) panels from 3A Composites USA.

Markel Center, Institute For Contemporary Art

The Markel Center, Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will bring the most important, cutting-edge contemporary art exhibits in the world to the VCU campus and the city of Richmond. To give the building a presence equal to its importance, renowned architect Steven Holl clad the buillding's exterior with titanium zinc cladding materials from RHEINZINK America Inc.

Marlboro Ridge Equestrian Center

The residents of the Marlboro Ridge Housing Community were promised equestrian facilities before the recession hit and brought the project to a halt about 10 years ago. Some things are worth waiting for and the Marlboro Ridge Equestrian Center's new stables prove it. Located in Upper Marlboro, MD, the award-winning facility has ample amenities and a beautiful appearance. Its exterior is largely metal, featuring two types of metal products from McElroy Metal.

Marlins Park

Completed in May 2012, Marlins Park is the first ballpark in Major League Baseball to achieve LEED Gold Certification for new construction. Home to the Miami Marlins, the new park is located on the former site of the Orange Bowl in the midst of a bustling public transportation hub. A variety of architectural metal products from CENTRIA were featured in the facility’s construction.

Marquis Condominiums

Over 34,000 sq. ft. of aluminum louver products from Ohio Gratings, Inc. (OGi) of Canton, Ohio were utilized on the exterior of the newly completed Marquis Condominiums project in Miami, Florida. The company’s LG-60 and LG-100 louvers were incorporated on the development’s parking garage while LG-37 louvers were used as grilles around the mechanicals on the roof.

Marriott Hotel At Gateway Center

The Atlanta Airport Marriott Hotel at Gateway Center features a Porte-Cochere which not only provides shelter for arriving guests, but also serves as a distinct visual beacon for the project. Not surprisingly, its curving roofline alludes to the aerodynamic shape of the wings on the airplanes flying above. It is wrapped with ALPOLIC aluminum composite panels that were fabricated by Altech Panel Systems.

Catering to the business traveler the new Marriott SpringHill Suites in Corona, NY blends contemporary styling with modern amenities to keep its guests revitalized and focused. The hotel's sleek, inviting look was created by blending 66,000 sq. ft. of Omega-Lite® panels from Laminators Inc. into its design.

Martco Ltd.

Martco Limited Partnership is a manufacturer of engineered forest products such as hard wood lumber, oriented strand board, pine plywood and treated poles. They produce over 850 million square feet of oriented strand board annually. To accommodate such large production, Martco utilized a Metallic Building Company pre-engineered building system for this multi-million dollar project in Oakdale, LA. The massive plant facility is comprised of several buildings and totaled more than 580,000 square feet.

Martin High School

Voters in Martin, Michigan were asked for more money to fund substantial facilities upgrades at Martin High School. By a 2-1 margin, they voted Yes, allowing plans to move forward for the construction of a new auditorium, a new gymnasium, new outdoor athletic facilities and more. Among the products utilized in the design and construction of the two new building sections were aluminum composite panels by Alucoil.

Mary Pretlow Anchor Branch Library

Located at a historic trolley station site overlooking Chesapeake Bay, the new Mary Pretlow Anchor Branch Library in Virginia Beach, VA provides an iconic look for visitors and residents arriving at the bayfront. The roof of the structure features a wide array of slopes, levels and intricate details that create an impressive visual display. A cupola tops off the building to add to the coastal feel. Approximately 30,000 sq. ft. of PAC-CLAD .040” aluminum Silver Metallic Snap-Clad panels by Petersen Aluminum provided the flexibility to meet demanding design objectives.

Maryland Live! Casino

The Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, MD, is one of the largest malls on the East Coast and a leading tourist attraction. In 2010, residents voted to enhance the Arundel Mills Commercial District’s 3 million sq. ft. of retail and entertainment space with a casino. Ground was broken in January 2011, with the doors to the Maryland Live! Casino - clad in Alcoa Architectural Products’ Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) and products from Kawneer - opened 17 months later.

Maryland Public Health Laboratories Administration Building

The new Maryland Public Health Laboratories Administration Building was part of the 235,000 square foot, five-level renovation project of a 40-year-old building in east Baltimore. The state-of-the-art laboratory facility, utilizing architectural metal products from CENTRIA, houses critical testing materials and equipment and annually conducts more than 10 million tests.

Masonic Amphitheater

Designed, fabricated, and installed by a student team at Virginia Tech, the Masonic Amphitheater in Clifton Forge, VA, provides a public park and performance space for the rural Appalachian community. Among the products used for the structure’s construction were ALPOLIC composite panels from Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America.

Massachusetts College Of Art And Design Residence Hall

The practical goal of the new $61-million 21-story Student Residence Hall at Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) in Boston may have been to provide 145,600 square feet of on-campus accommodations for 493 students for its opening in the fall of 2012. But the unique design of the new Residence Hall - which is clad in 5,500 Alucobond® Plus aluminum composite panels - has met an aesthetic goal to set the building apart on the Boston skyline.
