Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium Expansion

The University of Texas at Austin opened its 2021 Longhorns football season by debuting its new south end zone expansion that enclosed the horseshoe configuration of Darrell K Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium. Aluminum composite material from 3A Composites USA was used with this project.

Data Processing Center

A former Stanley Black & Decker Hand Tools manufacturing plant in downtown New Britain, CT has a new high-tech purpose. And thanks to the retrofitting of its old exterior with Thermolite glazing panels from Laminators Incorporated, it has a new look too.

David H. Murdock Core Laboratory

Located on the North Carolina Research Campus in Kannapolis, NC, the David H. Murdock Core Laboratory features a beautiful copper standing seam roof that is the perfect complement to the facility’s brick exterior. The focal point of the laboratory’s roof is a majestic copper dome topped by a 10’-high copper finial, created from copper supplied by Ornametals.

David Rubenstein Forum

The award-winning David Rubenstein Forum project at the University of Chicago utilized 60,000 square feet of custom Versa-Lok and custom-fabricated wall panels that were manufactured by ATAS in 1.0 mm grey zinc. The panels were used as exterior wall cladding on this 166-foot-tall building consisting of 10 stories (a two-story base, and an eight-story tower).

Davidson Center For Space Exploration

Approximately 85,000 sq. ft. of Metl-Span CF42 Light Mesa wall panels play a key role in the design of the Davidson Center for Space Exploration at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. The 2-½” insulated panels were finished with Polar White on the exterior and custom Matte Black on the interior to contrast with the gleaming Saturn V lunar rocket vehicle displayed inside. The $22 million facility—measuring 476' long x 90' wide x 64' tall—was designed by Gresham, Smith and Partners of Birmingham, AL, and the panels were installed by JWC Specialties Inc. of Nashville, TN.

Dawn Commons Retail Center

Located in Carlisle, PA, the Dawn Commons Retail Center utilizes for its construction a pre-engineered metal building system and components from Robertson Building Systems of Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. The 10,000 sq. ft. building was completed in April 2007 at a cost of approximately $830,000. John C. Brogran designed the building while Galbraith/Pre-Design Inc. served as the general contractor/erector.

Daybreak Elementary School And Community Center

Two clients—Kennecott Land and the Jordan School District, both located in Salt Lake Valley—established program requirements for this Utah project. They wanted the facility to be planned, designed and built with the concept of shared use of space as the primary goal. The result was a LEED Silver certified facility that could be used to accommodate education, recreation and community gathering needs for a new residential community called Daybreak. A prominent feature of the Daybreak Elementary School project is metal roofing by MBCI. The architect selected the LokSeam SSR system, a snap-together system.

Dayton Children's Outpatient Care Center

The Dayton Children’s Outpatient Care Center—Springboro, located in Miamisburg, OH, offers pediatric urgent care, medical imaging and rehabilitative services. The new 20,000 sq. ft. facility, located on an 11-acre site, is seeking LEED certification and benefits. Its exterior features approximately 4,700 sq. ft. of Dri-Design wall panels in three striking colors. The .080"-thick aluminum panels were finished in Light Green, Marlin Blue and Dark Green/Juniper. Large, backlit smiling faces of children were inserted in the Dri-Design cladding.

Daytona International Speedway

Legendary race car driver A.J. Foyt called the Daytona International Speedway “the prettiest speedway in the world.” The iconic speedway is even prettier these days, after a $400 million “reimagining” called DAYTONA Rising. Kingspan Insulated Panels played a big part of giving the facility an extensive new facelift.

DCH Cancer Treatment Center

The successful installation of 16,000 sq. ft. of aluminum composite material (ACM) panels on the DCH Cancer Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is a testament to the capabilities of both the panel fabricator and the system installer. Completed in May 2009, the 94,000 sq. ft. cancer treatment center was designed by Ward Scott Vernon Architects Inc. of Tuscaloosa. In combination with brick, the architect specified ACM for sections of the building's walls as well as for the curved canopies that define the building design-wise. And it was those canopies that provided the challenge for the fabricator and installer.

Deadwood Mountain Grand Casino And Resort

Exterior metal wall panels from Metal Sales™ blend modern performance with a vintage look at the newly renovated Deadwood Mountain Grand Casino and Resort in Deadwood, SD. The original building was once a gold ore and slime processing plant for the Homestake Mining Company in the early 1900s. Now wrapped in metal wall panels, the landmark structure is restored to its historic beginnings.

Dearing Elementary School

The 20th and newest elementary school in the Pflugerville Independent School District opened to rave reviews from students, teachers and parents alike. Dearing Elementary School in Texas, which creates more energy than the building consumes, was lauded for its net-zero design. The school features metal rainscreen panels from Petersen.

Deignan House

With its pairing of traditional lines and contemporary materials, Tom Deignan’s new home in rural Pennsylvania certainly catches the eyes of passers-by. Cupped stainless-steel tile wall cladding is the most stunning design element, complemented by standing seam metal roofing - both products supplied by Petersen - and a variety of other exterior materials.

Dekalb County Jail Expansion

Marking its first construction project since 1980, the Dekalb County Jail serving Dekalb County, IL, was modernized and aesthetically enhanced with CENTRIA Formawall® insulated metal panels. CENTRIA’s products were also successful in meeting specific design criteria outlined by Dewberry, the firm responsible for the building design.

Del Valle High School Career And Technical Education Center

The new Career and Technical Education Center on the campus of Del Valle High School in Del Valle, Texas, includes some very high-tech features, so school administrators wanted an exterior that would reflect their future-focused programs and maintain its good looks over time. Metal cladding panels from Petersen met both these requirements.

Delaware Division Of Motor Vehicles

The sprawling, sparkling Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles facility - featuring metal products from Petersen - sets a new standard in both energy efficiency and customer service. The brand new 43,000 sq. ft. facility, located in New Castle, Del., is the first state-owned building to achieve LEED Silver certification, and is the third DMV office to follow a design prototype established to optimize the customer experience.

Delta Power Sports

Situated in Lathrop, CA, this 12,231 sq. ft. project for Delta Power Sports utilized a custom metal building, by Star Building Systems, for the clear span requirements as well as cost considerations and speed of construction. Delta Power Sports is covered by Star’s StarShield Roof System in Polar White color. Conventional framing was used for the wall system, along with metal stud framing and stucco for the exterior. Completed in June 2008, this project is used for all-terrain vehicle sales.

Delta Toronto Hotel

Situated in the heart of the city and overlooking Lake Ontario, the new Delta Toronto Hotel is a contemporary and convenient hub for out-of-town guests - and a new city landmark. Its 46-story glass tower adds a sleek accent to the Toronto skyline. To complement the hotel’s tower, Page + Steele/IBI Group Architects specified Banker Wire mesh for the hotel’s adjoining rooftop parking garage stairway enclosure.

Deltalok Building

The 8,708 square foot Deltalok Building in Ferndale, Washington, is a multi-use, office facility/warehouse whose exterior is highlighted by metal facades and canopies. Featuring a variety of products from Metallic Building Company, two different types of metal wall panels were applied horizontally and a third type was applied vertically to match the look of an existing building on the project site.
