Children’s Hospital Atrium At Oklahoma University Medical Center

The 65,000-square-foot atrium at The Children’s Hospital at Oklahoma University Medical Center, Oklahoma City, is designed to serve as a hub for the University’s sprawling Health Center campus. The six-story atrium’s main feature is a roof inspired by floating kite ribbons. The roof uses approximately 20,000 square feet of Kalzip 65/400 with an AluPlusPatina finish.

Children’s Hospital Of Pittsburgh Of UPMC

Sustainability, color and dynamic design characterize the new Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Occupying the former 10-acre site of an urban medical center in Pittsburgh, PA, the new facility features a 1.4 million square-foot campus encompassing four distinct facilities anchored by the 13-story hospital and the 300,000 square-foot John G. Rangos, Sr. Research Center. The hospital took advantage of its proximity to Pittsburgh-based PPG. First, by incorporating environmentally progressive glass, coatings and paint from EcoLogical Building Solutions™ by PPG, and second, by using regionally sourced construction materials.

Children's Hospital Colorado South Campus

Children's Hospital Colorado is regarded as one of the leading pediatric facilities in the nation. When plans began for the hospital's new South Campus in Highlands Ranch, there was a desire that the new facility share some of the visual characteristics of the hub in Aurora. Stainless steel panels fabricated by MetalTech-USA Inc. of Peachtree City, GA, helped make that desired connection.

Chillicothe Baptist Church

Measuring 42,800 square feet, the Chillicothe Baptist Church required several large clear spans, which were achieved more economically by utilizing Star Building Systems pre-engineered structures. Completed in October 2007, this Chillicothe, OH, church was created with a traditional exterior using nine Star Building Systems structures. Star also provided their StarShield roof system in Rustic Red and StarMark wall panels in Regal White.

Chipotle Mexican Grill

Like most restaurant chains, Chipotle Mexican Grills have a look. But counter to the norm, that look is not necessarily the same from one location to the next. Within an overall design parameter and using common elements, each restaurant is designed to be unique. And so it goes in Littleton, CO, where the exterior of a newly completed Chipotle location features Laminators Inc.'s Omega-Lite aluminum composite metal wall panels. The restaurant was designed by MJ Cassutt Architects while Sondrup Sheet Metal handled the panel installation.

Chris Wilson Pavilion

In designing the new Chris Wilson Pavilion at Potawatomi Park in South Bend, IN, the architect was charged with creating a high-quality outdoor performing arts locale that would overcome the size and acoustical limitations of a small existing band shell. The new band shell also was desired to be an aesthetic match for an adjacent historic picnic pavilion. One of the key design materials that allowed the architect to meet all goals was a Met-Tile metal tile facsimile roof system from McElroy Metal Inc.

Christ Chapel West Campus

The rolling hills and natural curves of the Texas landscape served as inspiration for the design of the Christ Chapel West Campus in Willow Park, Texas. The building's organic spaces have curved ceilings and flooring to establish a natural flow that connects with the surroundings. These curves were created with Flex-C Trac from Flex-Ability Concepts.

Christ Church Cathedral

Replacing the old roof was the final step in the four-phase, 22-year renovation of the historic Christ Church Cathedral in Vancouver, British Columbia. Interested only in roofing materials that would be historically appropriate and contribute to the building's long-term sustainability, the project's architect selected RHEINZINK titanium-zinc batten seam roofing from RHEINZINK America.

Christian Academy Of Knoxville Cafeteria

Metal products from Varco Pruden Buildings were used in the construction of the new cafeteria at the Christian Academy of Knoxville. The 6,600 sq. ft. structure, which will also be used as a multi-purpose facility, uses a Rigid Frame system from Varco Pruden to allow for open area seating and versatility.

Christina Crescent Pedestrian Bridge

Christina Crescent is the name given the project that saw a multi-parcel brownfield site along Wilmington, DE’s waterfront replaced by a 270,000 sq. ft., six-story office building and stand-alone five-story parking garage. The two structures are joined by a park plaza with a sunken garden spanned by a pedestrian bridge. Among the products utilized as part of the bridge's construction was galvanized steel grating from Ohio Gratings Inc. of Canton, OH. The chosen product features a close spacing pattern and below-surface anchor blocks, making it ideal for an office setting.

Christopher S. Bond Learning Center

The Christopher S. Bond Learning Center is the newest addition to the William H. Darr Agricultural Center, located on the Springfield campus of Missouri State University. The Agricultural Center currently serves as a laboratory and field experience classroom for the study of livestock management, horticulture, animal science, wildlife conservation and other agricultural studies. CENTRIA products are featured on this project.

Church Of The Ascension

A solid building but in dire need of a makeover, the Church of Ascension was given renewed attractiveness through the replacement of its weathered board and batten siding with smooth-faced Omega-Lite® aluminum composite wall panels. Manufactured by Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA, the panels have .032" aluminum face sheets and feature a factory-applied Bright Silver PVDF paint finish. The panel system was installed on the Virginia Beach, VA project by Baker Roofing of Norfolk LLC of Norfolk, VA.

Church Of The Harvest

The growing congregation at the Church of the Harvest in Olathe, KS needed to greatly increase its worship capacity, and it was searching for a durable and attractive building. The combination of an engineered metal building from Butler Manufacturing with Tuff Wall panels from Metl-Span met the criteria and made everyone happy.

Church of Zoar

At its shop in Plain City, OH, Metal Worx Systems Inc. rollformed 145 squares of SL17518 snap lock metal roofing for the Church of Zoar in historic Zoar, OH. Handling the installation was Jaztec Roofing. The material from which the panels were formed was COOLR® roofing metal from Sheffield Metals of Sheffield Village, OH. COOLR® roofing metals are available in a variety of colors and finishes, but in the case of the church job, the material was 24-gauge Galvalume-coated steel in a Patina Green color.

Churchill Home

When Bill Churchill set out to build his 4,000 square-foot Sudbury, MA home, his objective was to apply standardized industrial manufacturing technologies to achieve a residence with superior thermal and energy efficiency. Using Kingspan Insulated Panels’ KingZip® Insulated Standing Seam Roof panels and 300 A Azteco® Embossed wall panels, Churchill was able to create an energy efficient building envelope and better insulate his home.

Chuy's Restaurant - Knoxville

Chuy’s is a fast-growing, full-service restaurant concept offering a distinct menu of authentic, freshly-prepared Mexican and Tex Mex-inspired food. Among its 32 locations in seven states are four stores in Tennessee; all topped with standing seam metal roofs fabricated from metal supplied by Englert Inc. of Perth Amboy, NJ.

Cincinnati School For The Creative And Performing Arts

The Cincinnati School for the Creative and Performing Arts is the first creative and performing arts school in the United States to serve grades K-12. It is also the first publicly funded school devoted to the creative and performing arts. A signature feature of the new school's design is its RHEINZINK® Preweathered Blue-Gray cladding. The material was used as a complement to red brick at the building's main entrance.

Cite Shopping Mall

To spur the local economy, government officials in the Baden-Baden area of Germany granted permission for a retail development on land previously designated as a conservation area. On the heels of that decision came the design and construction of the new Cité Shopping Mall. It features 260,000 sq. ft. retail space contained in a pair of round buildings connected to one another by a covered passageway. The buildings were designed by Form A Architects and clad with nearly 140,000 sq. ft. of stucco-embossed Kalzip aluminum standing seam panels.

Citizens State Bank

In the addition and renovation of Citizens State Bank’s main headquarters in Somerville, TX, BBA Architects, LP, of Brenham, TX, sought to carry forth the architectural identity it had helped establish in two earlier branch designs. With its sizable addition and a new look that blends local limestone with contractor-fabricated and factory manufactured metal products, the bank’s home office re-establishes its presence as an economic and cultural anchor in the community.

City Of Greenville Public Works Campus

In May 2016, the City of Greenville, SC contracted with DP3 Architects of Greenville, Harper Construction of Greenville and Ceco Builder ProSteel of Clover, SC, to build their new facility. The main goal was to find a building that complemented the public services industry for the City of Greenville. The current operations were dispersed throughout the city in older facilities that needed major updating. A central location would allow for more efficient operation and communication.
