CSU Monterey Bay College Of Business

Using products from CENTRIA, the California State University Monterey Bay College of Business is a $43 million project created to house offices, labs, classrooms, conference rooms and student study areas. The goal of the design was to inspire learning. It incorporates natural light and other eco-friendly features to support a technology-rich learning environment. Sustainability played a major role in HMC Architects’ design for the Seaside, CA project.

Pingree School Athletics Facility

The integration of products from Metl-Span and Metallic Building Company culminated in a successful project on all fronts as the new Pingree School Athletics Facility in South Hamilton, MA is both energy-efficient and aesthetically pleasing. Allegheny Health Network Sports Complex At Cool Springs

The Cool Springs Golf Center in Pittsburgh was devastated by a fire that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Penn Cove Group Capital stepped in to rebuild the driving range and golf cages initially and did a massive renovation and upgrade. They were about to call it a day, when their imagination took flight - resulting in the Allegheny Health Network Sports Complex At Cool Springs, featuring products from Ceco Building Systems.

MSU Bio Engineering Facility

Baccarat Hotel & Residences

Located on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 53rd Street in New York City, the Baccarat Hotel & Residences is the flagship of the latest luxury hotel brand from Starwood Capital Group. The new 605-foot-tall, mixed-use building was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) LLP and features on its exterior Reynobond® aluminum composite material (ACM) from Alcoa Architectural Products.

Southwest Airlines Maintenance Hangar

At the Orlando International Airport, Southwest Airlines re-roofed a 75,000 sq. ft. hangar using several metal construction industry veteran companies. Commercial Siding & Maintenance (CSM) of Houston, Texas was the contractor; Force Engineering & Testing of Humble, Texas provided engineering services; Roof Hugger Inc. of Odessa, Florida furnished their factory-notched sub-framing system; and McElroy Metal furnished the new metal roof system.

Shady Grove Parkade

A combination of three stainless steel mesh patterns woven by Cambridge Architectural envelop the exterior facade of the new 700-space parking garage at The Universities at Shady Grove (USG) in Rockville, MD. The $20 million project, completed this spring, is expected to be one of the first parking facilities in the world to achieve Green Garage Certification under the Green Parking Council’s new rating system.

During the planning stages of the company’s new office headquarters, Jim and Anne Davis, owners of New Balance Athletic Shoe Inc., insisted on a building that reflected what their company was all about: speed, motion and high performance. A variety of panel products from Morin, A Kingspan Group Company, aided the design team in achieving those goals.

Vibe Credit Union

In addition to catering to today's tech-savvy customers, Vibe Credit Union locations are easy to spot. Bathed in colors familiar to Vibe's branding, the company's recently opened Sterling Heights, MI branch is a prime example. It is clad with green, grey and champagne-colored aluminum composite panels from Laminators Inc. of Hatfield, PA.

Ivy Street Center

Ivy Street Center is the first new academic building on the Marist School campus in Brookhaven, Ga., in more than 20 years, and is the signature project in Phase 1 of the Campus Master Plan. The new facility, designed with an emphasis on sustainability, features roofing and wall panels from Petersen.

Polk Penguin Conservation Center

Opening in the spring 2016, the Polk Penguin Conservation Center at the Detroit Zoo is the largest of its kind in the world. It rises visually as a monolithic tabular iceberg, sparkling brightly in the sun. Although not literally made of ice, the exterior of the Polk Penguin Conservation Center resembles the look of an Antarctic iceberg. To create that impression, its exterior is comprised of metal wall panels from IMETCO, featuring a custom white paint finish developed by Valspar.

Equal Door Industries of Calgary, Alberta, Canada bills itself as Canada's Premier Garage Door Company. Some would say Schweiss Doors enjoys that same kind of reputation in the United States, as it pertains to Bifold and Hydraulic doors. So with the involvement of both companies in the manufacture and installation of four exceptionally tall doors for a Calgary-based modular building manufacturer, smooth sailing was practically guaranteed.

Dulles Metrorail Extension Stations

The Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project is a 23-mile extension of Washington’s existing Metrorail System. Construction of Phase 1 is complete and covers 11.7 miles with five stations. Phase 2 is underway and will complete the extension with six additional stations. Featured on 11 of the 12 stations is RHEINZINK titanium zinc cladding from RHEINZINK America Inc.

Mount Pleasant Glass Centre

When the time came to address the aging aluminized steel roof on the Mount Pleasant Glass Centre in Mount Pleasant, PA, many options were considered. The one that made the most sense was to cover the old metal roof with a new one from Norcross, GA-based IMETCO.
