Children's Hospital Colorado South Campus

Children's Hospital Colorado is regarded as one of the leading pediatric facilities in the nation. When plans began for the hospital's new South Campus in Highlands Ranch, there was a desire that the new facility share some of the visual characteristics of the hub in Aurora. Stainless steel panels fabricated by MetalTech-USA Inc. of Peachtree City, GA, helped make that desired connection.

Park Place Lexus

The elegant lines of the new Park Place Lexus dealership building in Plano, Texas, embody the high-performance, luxury styling of the vehicles showcased inside, thanks in part to the Reynobond® aluminum composite materials and products by Kawneer—sister company to Alcoa Architectural Products—that form the building envelope. The $10-million-plus, 170,000 sq. ft. dealership houses new and pre-owned car showrooms and service facilities.

5th Street Parking Garage

Anything worth doing is worth doing right. The five-story parking garage at 112 East 5th Street in Austin, Texas was treated with custom colors on perforated façade panels from McElroy Metal. The install required a little extra care to ensure the color pattern was right.

Westin Birmingham

Ricky Rocket’s Fuel Center

The new Ricky Rocket’s Fuel Center in Hoffman Estates, Ill., generates head-turning looks with its signature “rocket man” perched atop the 8,200 sq. ft. building. The facility includes a high-tech car wash, convenience store, food outlets and, of course, fuel service. Adding to the attention-getting design are bright yellow and red fascia and soffit panels provided by Petersen Aluminum.

The Center For STARK Cultural Venues

An old church dome in Orange, Texas was returned to its former glory and the building it tops given a new lease on life, thanks to new ownership and the products of Peachtree City, GA-based MetalTech-USA. The company fabricated the shingles and roof panels used in the iconic dome's restoration, using RHEINZINK titanium zinc from RHEINZINK America Inc., Woburn, MA.

Fagen Fighters World War II Museum

On the grounds of the Granite Falls Municipal Airport, in his hometown of Granite Falls, MN, entrepreneur Ron Fagen established the Fagen Fighters World War II Museum. The museum boasts an impressive collection of World War II aircraft and artifacts housed inside two hangars, each of which is outfitted with Schweiss Liftstrap Bifold Doors from Fairfax, MN-based Schweiss Doors.

Seattle Children's Hospital "Building Hope" Expansion

The "Building Hope" expansion of the Seattle Children's Hospital was designed with family needs and operational efficiency in mind. One of the objectives of Zimmer Gunsul Frasca, the project's architect, was to create a look for the building that was both soothing and inviting. That was achieved in part through the use of custom wall panels on the exterior. They were fabricated from VMZINC®, a product of Umicore Building Products USA.

Kankakee Community College North Extension Center

Kankakee Community College recently completed construction of its North Extension Center, (NEC) north of the main campus in Kankakee, Illinois. The two-story, 18,350 sq. ft. building cost $5.5 million and anchors the college’s new satellite campus in downtown Bradley, Illinois. The building envelope, which was the determining factor for NEC achieving a high LEED rating and certification, was made with Kingspan insulated metal panels.

Centennial College - Ashtonbee Campus

Toronto is home to one of the largest training schools for transportation technology in Canada - Centennial College Ashtonbee Campus, which was renovated with expanded facilities clad in metal wall panels from Dri-Design. The choice of stainless-steel panels was inspired by the chrome engines being operated on by students. Dri-Design was installed on a new Library & Learning Centre and Student Hub with adjoining Student Centre and Bookstore.

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University College Of Arts & Sciences Building

As the newest addition to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Daytona Beach, Florida campus, the College of Arts & Sciences Building was created to replace the 1960s-era Lindbergh Academic Complex. The building, designed by the architectural firm Leo A Daly, consists of a structural steel frame with an exterior skin of curtain wall and Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material wall panels. Reynobond is a product of Alcoa Architectural Products.

University Medical Center Of Princeton At Plainsboro

The University Medical Center of Princeton at Plainsboro is one of the most technologically-advanced, environmentally-friendly hospitals in the country. Every design decision for the $523 million, 636,000-square-foot building was based on the New Jersey facility’s ability to promote healing, patient comfort and safety. A variety of metal products from CENTRIA are featured on the hospital.
