Owensboro-Daviess Convention Center

Completed in early 2014, the new Owensboro-Daviess Convention Center is a premier meeting and event venue not only for Owensboro and Daviess County, but for all of western Kentucky. The project is contemporary in design and features on its exterior an anodized aluminum panel rainscreen cladding system engineered and fabricated by MetalTech-USA. The Class I anodized aluminum finish was from Lorin Industries.

All Inside Storage

Business is booming for a California developer of storage units for campers, boats, cars and planes. Units from 10' to 100' wide and up to 85' deep features amenities that customers seem to like...including the doors that secure them. All but a few of the more than 130 doors installed so far were manufactured by Schweiss Doors, one of the world's leading producers of bifold and hydraulic doors.

Pulhof Castle

The restoration of historical structures is highly specialized work and requires an expertise very few companies possess. But when the right team is assembled, the results are magnificent. Case in point is Pulhof Castle in Wijnegem, Belgium. With the involvement of VMZINC®-US, the castle's original structure and appearance were preserved, while the castle itself was transformed into an accessible public place.

Elk Grove Special Waste Collection Center

The City of Elk Grove, California’s Special Waste Collection Center opened in April 2014 with a commitment to a cleaner and greener community. The Center, which features AEP Span’s architectural metal panels, has earned LEED Gold Certification. The facility accepts recyclable materials diverted from local landfills.

In the case of the Pound Ridge House in Pound Ridge, NY, Kieran Timberlake of Philadelphia went above and beyond, placing material samples at the chosen home site and then waiting. It was the results after one year that led the firm to specify stainless steels from Contrarian Metal Resources for the unique home's construction.

Rocketship Nashville Elementary School

Eye-catching insulated metal panels from Kingspan Insulated Panels—in Redwood, Dove Gray, Regal White and Evergreen—played a critical role in the design and construction of the new Rocketship Nashville Elementary School in Nashville, TN. But good looks were just one of the many benefits the panels brought to the project.

Mission College Gillmor Center

The Gillmor Center - a 100,000 square foot, three-story interdisciplinary classroom facility - represents the first phase of the existing Main Building replacement at the Mission College campus in Santa Clara, CA. It features insulated metal panels and metal sunshades from CENTRIA.

University Of Cincinnati College Of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning

Designed by renowned architect Peter Eisenman, and opened in 1996, the Aronoff Center linked together the previously existing Alms, DAAP and Wolfson buildings to form the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning. When the original EIFS façade failed, Overly was selected to design a rainscreen panel system that could meet the structure’s performance challenges while maintaining the architectural integrity of the original design.

Though Englert Inc. is well-established in the metal roofing market, they are an up-and-comer on the wall panel side of the business. That makes it all the more fitting that one of the company's insulated metal panel profiles would be chosen for Pearson Court Square, a 15-story, 170,000 sq. ft. residential apartment building that is located in an area of Long Island City, NY that's considered an up-and-comer too.

Gulf Gate Public Library

The new Gulf Gate Public Library in Sarasota, Florida has opened as a sparkling, high-tech replacement for the highly used but aging facility previously located on the same site. Approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of Petersen Aluminum’s PAC-CLAD Tite-Loc Plus panels and 8,000 sq. ft. of Snap-Clad panels were utilized to help accomplish the design objectives and stay within budget.

Squam Lake House

In many regards, little has changed at New Hampshire’s Squam Lake in the nearly 35 years since the classic movie On Golden Pond was filmed there. The lake is still a generational favorite for family getaways and vacations in a traditional setting. But now, beautifully designed and strikingly contemporary residences are being constructed among the classic old cabins. A good example is the new Squam Lake House, clad with architectural zinc from RHEINZINK America Inc.

Intrinsic School

On Chicago’s Northwest Side, Intrinsic Schools’ new 58,000-square-foot Belmont Campus transforms a former lumberyard into a contemporary educational facility. The public charter school building showcases a distinctive, patterned facade with multiple components finished in Valspar’s Fluropon® 70 percent polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resin-based exterior coatings. Among them were insulated metal panel systems from Kingpan Insulated Panels.

Wolf Creek Branch Library

The Wolf Creek neighborhood in the southwest suburb of Atlanta has been undergoing a resurgence in recent years. Another piece to the area's comeback was added with the opening of the Wolf Creek Library in September 2014. Designed by Leo A. Daly, the building's exterior is clad with ALPOLIC®/fr 4mm fire-retardant aluminum composite material from ALPOLIC® Materials | Mitsubishi Plastics Composites America.

Opus One Winery Workshop

The founding of the Opus One winery in California's Napa Valley in 1979 brought together two of the top names in winemaking, one from the Old World wine establishment in Europe and one from the New World winemaking industry in the United States. The design of the winery's new equipment shop reflects a balance too, where function on the one hand is countered by form on the other. Fortunately, the bifold and hydraulic doors specified for the state-of-the-art facility satisfied both desires. They were manufactured by Schweiss Doors of Hector, MN.

Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District

The new Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District is lighting up the Wall Street neighborhood with a brilliant metal-paneled façade. Crafted from Reynobond® Aluminum Composite Material (ACM), the facade attracts and reflects light to brighten the street-level pedestrian landscape around it. The new hotel also provides a new superlative for Manhattan. At 50 stories tall, it is the tallest Holiday Inn in the world.

Bicknell Family Center For The Arts

For almost 35 years, Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg Kan., had limited performing arts offerings for its students because the campus did not have a facility to support a large program. That changed this academic year when the Bicknell Family Center for the Arts opened. Four shades of the Dri-Design Wall Panel System clad the building to make it warm and inviting while also standing out.
