Johnson Space Center

CENTRIA metal panels helped provide a design solution for the new home of NASA’s Johnson Space Center (JSC) Biomedical Research & Environmental Sciences Division, a facility responsible for enhancing and studying astronaut and human health. Approximately 20,600 square feet of Concept Series single-skin rainscreen panels clad a portion of the building’s exterior.

Journey Elementary School

The Wentzville School District is one of Missouri's fastest growing, averaging more than 600 new students a year. School construction is nearly constant, with low maintenance and longevity at the fore of each new building's design. The latest structure, Journey Elementary School, continues that trend, featuring long-lasting metal roofing from McElroy Metal.

JPS Health Network

An RS4 ACM rainscreen cladding system from Armetco Systems Inc. of Justin, TX, provided the refined look and met the stringent performance requirements for the exterior of the recently completed JPS Health Network building in Fort Worth, TX. HKS Inc. of Dallas, TX, designed the 40,000 sq. ft. structure. Armetco fabricated the rainscreen panels from Alucobond aluminum composite material with a Bone White paint finish. Alucobond is a product of Alcan Composites USA Inc., Mooresville, NC.

Jumer’s Casino & Hotel

The new Jumer’s Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Ill., was designed to bring a Las Vegas-style gaming experience to the Midwest – opening in December 2008 as a replacement for the company’s Casino Rock Island Riverboat, which had been moored since 1992 on the Mississippi River in downtown Rock Island. The project features 57,083 square feet of Alucobond® aluminum composite material (ACM) by Alcan Composites USA in the 4mm thickness, including 36,580 square feet in the Spectra Cupral color and 20,503 square feet in the custom Texas Copper color.

But the wow factor for the newly constructed home in Los Altos Hills, CA is likely its most unexpected feature: a 23'-tall by 36'-wide glass hydraulic door from Schweiss Doors. Clad with glass, open or closed it offers spectacular views of the San Francisco Bay and northern Silicon Valley.

Junior Achievement Of Northern Indiana

With the ultimate goal of relocating three entities all under one roof, The Hagerman Group of Fort Wayne, IN - an American Buildings Authorized Builder - was contracted to build a new campus for Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana. As a result, The Hagerman Group was awarded the American Buildings 2021 Building of the Year Excellence in Design Award in the Special Projects category.

Kalevalakehto - The Shaman’s Haven Of The Kalevala

A glossy stainless steel surface reflects the adjacent sea on the Seurasaari island of Helsinki, forming the roof of a newly finished monument that echoes the mythology of the Kalevala, Finland’s national epic. The bright annealed stainless was supplied by Outokumpu. The company also supplied the stainless steel tube sections that form the base of the structure, and the structural stainless plate sections used to build the support structure of the roof.

Kankakee Community College North Extension Center

Kankakee Community College recently completed construction of its North Extension Center, (NEC) north of the main campus in Kankakee, Illinois. The two-story, 18,350 sq. ft. building cost $5.5 million and anchors the college’s new satellite campus in downtown Bradley, Illinois. The building envelope, which was the determining factor for NEC achieving a high LEED rating and certification, was made with Kingspan insulated metal panels.

Kanner Residence

Contractor and homeowner Alan Kanner wanted his house to respect its hilly, wooded surroundings in Takoma Park, Maryland while also being creative, cool and fun. Playing a prominent role in the home’s design are metal wall panels from ATAS International.

Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy

The Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy is expected to serve the community for generations. The City of Kansas City, Major League Baseball and the Kansas City Royals partnered to turn an old park into the site for an indoor training facility, four state-of-the-art outdoor diamonds and more. Specified for the exterior of the new building were insulated metal wall panels from Metl-Span.

Kansas City Power & Light, Safety And Training Center

Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) launched the latest addition to their Kansas City, MO-based offices - the Safety And Training Center - in late 2015. Featuring a variety of metal products from CENTRIA, the two-story, 53,000 sq. ft. facility provides a world-class education center for KCP&L’s linemen and apprentices.

Karn Residence

The amazing transformation of a 1950’s bungalow into an ultra-modern, energy-efficient residence is truly remarkable. But the project was years in the making and includes a strong European influence—just ask the owners/architects, Gail Whitney Karn and her husband, Robert Karn. She is Director of Technical Sales for RHEINZINK America and Robert runs Consilium, an urban design and architecture consulting practice.

Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium

The renovated Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville might have all the latest amenities, but its design pays homage to the school’s earlier days. The facility’s steeply pitched metal roof from Petersen, in a signature orange-red finish, is a clear reference to the buildings surrounding the stadium, and it also frames an impressive gateway into the ballpark’s friendly confines.

KaTom Headquarters

A long, monotonous headquarters was not the image restaurant supply company KaTom was looking to portray when it moved to Kodak, Tenn. The group, therefore, set out to reimagine the 2005 log home manufacturing facility it purchased to serve as its new headquarters. A Dri-Design Wall Panel System helped achieve this goal by creating a welcoming structure reflective of the company culture and purpose.

Kauffman Center Helzberg Hall

Since its completion late in 2011, the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts has dramatically changed the Kansas City, MO skyline. With its sweeping façade clad in stainless steel, glass and pre-cast concrete enveloping 285,000 sq. ft. of space, the scope of the project is matched by its design prowess. Architect Moshe Safdie designed the building to be a model of functionality, accessibility and sustainability. The $386 million facility features GKD-USA metal fabric.

KC Bailey Orchards

On that project, the company's S-5-PVKIT®2.0 solar attachment solution and S-5-S Mini clamps were used to secure solar panels to five new apple storage buildings.

Keith Residence

Durable metal panels from Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation elegantly reroof a private residence in Elizabethtown, KY. Nestled at the end of a residential street in rural Elizabethtown – one hour south of Louisville – stands the Keith residence. The Keiths, frustrated with the short lifespan of asphalt shingles, were looking for a more sustainable and sensible roofing option. This led them to choose long-lasting standing seam metal roof panels.
