Kankakee Community College recently completed construction of its North Extension Center, (NEC) north of the main campus in Kankakee, Illinois. The two-story, 18,350 sq. ft. building cost $5.5 million and anchors the college’s new satellite campus in downtown Bradley, Illinois. The building envelope, which was the determining factor for NEC achieving a high LEED rating and certification, was made with Kingspan insulated metal panels.
