Robert J. Coury Global Center

Creating a dynamic, modern workplace is an architectural challenge. Throw in LEED Silver aspirations and an aggressive construction timeline and the bar is that much higher. Helping to meet the aesthetic and sustainable demands associated with the design and construction of Mylan's Robert J. Coury Global Center in Canonsburg, PA was Alucoil North America and its flagship product, larson by Alucoil Aluminum Composite Panels.

Robert Service High School

The exterior of the newly constructed Robert Service High School in Anchorage, AK, is colorful and uplifting. Architects Alaska, Anchorage, made it so through its extensive use of Panel 20® metal composite material wall panels from Citadel Architectural Products of Indianapolis, IN. The panels were fabricated in the field by Commercial Contractors Inc. using material in five different colors. Pacific Architectural Products of Clackamas, OR, was the product distributor.

Robson Residence

With the 20-year-old roof shingles on their Rockingham, NC ranch home beginning to decompose, Jerry and Janice Robson began surfing the web for replacement ideas. They knew they wanted to upgrade to something better but had no specific products in mind until they discovered Met-Tile tile profile metal roofing. “When we saw Met-Tile on the Internet, we knew that was the look we wanted,” says Jerry Robson. Though it was the look that initially sold the couple on the Met-Tile system, it is the new roof’s impact on indoor comfort and energy efficiency that has them talking now.

Rock Hill Law Center

Challenging police work can be even more cumbersome when operating from offices the size of closets and without the proper technology. An expanded Rock Hill Law Center changed these work conditions for the municipal staff in Rock Hill, SC. The space’s new look was completed with Dri-Design Embossed Panels, bridging the original structure to the addition.

Born out of the dream of a longtime bass fisherman, Rock Outdoors is a community committed to a life lived outside. The outdoor lifestyle and apparel store located in Lexington, North Carolina is also a boat dealership, offering maintenance and repair services. Rock Outdoors was awarded first place in the interiors category of ATAS’ 2018 project of the year competition.

Rockaway Hotel

Offering an urban beach getaway with a fresh view of New York City, The new Rockaway Hotel in Queens stands six stories tall and is clad in architectural-grade zinc wall panels. The zinc from which the panels were fabricated was from RHEINZINK America Inc. of Woburn, MA.

Rocketship Delta Prep School

Design of the new Rocketship Delta Prep school in Antioch, CA focused on being a modern interpretation of the local Spanish mission elements, keeping in mind the goal to be a Net Zero Energy building. Key to achieving the goals of the design team were insulated metal panels from Metl-Span, which offer high R-value, recyclability and extensive color and embossing options.

Rockford Cardiology

Once scattered throughtout an aging, three-story building that offered no potential for the growing practice, Rockford Cardiology Associates Ltd. of Rockford, IL, is now in a new home. In addition to having the latest amenities, the 53,000 sq. ft. building conveys an image of success and progressiveness, due in large measure to its design. P-G Architecture Design/Build skinned the building with a combination of glass and 19,000 sq. ft. of Dri-Design® wall panels in Silver Mica and Weathered Zinc Mica.

Rockland County, NY Sheriff's Department Headquarters

When the aging metal roof on the Rockland County, NY Sheriff's Department headquarters reached the end of its service life, county facilities management decided on a solution growing in popularity. Rather than tearing off the old roof and then installing a new one, they decided to leave the old roof alone and install a new metal roof right over the top. The system they chose was from Englert Inc., Perth Amboy, NJ.

Rockpoint Church

M.G. McGrath showed its talents as both a fabricator and installer of metal construction products by virtue of its involvement in the building of the Rockpoint Church in Lake Elmo, MN. In addition to fabricating and installing the project’s aluminum composite wall panels, the Maplewood, MN, firm installed the project’s profiled metal wall panels, metal roof system, soffit panels and screen wall. The church was designed by BWBR Architects of St. Paul, MN, with the Eden Prairie, MN office of JE Dunn Construction handling the general contracting duties. It was completed in December 2007.

Rocksport Indoor Climbing Facility

The new Rocksport Indoor Climbing Facility features gentle challenges for the beginner, plenty of moderate terrain for the weekend warrior, and fierce overhang climbing for the expert. For the new building's exterior, the design and construction team picked something every bit as all-encompassing – insulated metal wall panels from Metl-Span.

Rohner Hangar

One step into his residential hangar and it’s easy to see that Harlan Rohner really values his leisure time. A quintessential man on the go, Rohner's Willmar, MN hangar includes snowmobiles, boats, ATVs and vehicles, along with his Kitfox experimental airplane and his Enstrom 280FX Shark helicopter. Access to this impressive array of toys is made easy with a custom hydraulic door from Schweiss Doors.

Roma High School

The roof re-cover at Roma High School in Roma, Texas, was a long time coming. Undertaken as part of a bigger project to solve a number of water intrusion issues, the school's original tile roof was replaced with more than 230,000 sq. ft. of metal roofing from McElroy Metal.

Ron Cleveland Construction Co. And Keller Williams Realty

Ron Cleveland Construction Co. LLC, a Star Builder, wanted to show potential customers how versatile a custom metal building by Star Building Systems could be when constructing this office facility in Beaumont, Texas. The beautiful 11,526 sq. ft. office building houses Keller Williams Realty, as well as the construction company’s own headquarters. The facility was designed to withstand a 130 mph wind load.

Ron De Lugo Federal Courthouse

The Ron De Lugo Federal Courthouse in the U.S. Virgin Islands underwent a major repair and replacement of its roof. The 57,872 sq. ft., three-story federal building is located just a stone’s throw from the ocean in a beautiful bay in St. Thomas. The corrosive saltwater environment was the major factor in specifying Petersen Aluminum panels for the retrofit.

Room In The Inn’s Campus For Human Development—Comprehensive Center

Room In The Inn is a Nashville, TN-based non-profit that provides a variety of services to Nashville’s homeless community. The organization’s Campus for Human Development, originally constructed in 1986 with the goal of offering a variety of services to Nashville’s homeless population from a single location, recently added a new $13 million Comprehensive Center. This campus hub features architectural metal products from CENTRIA.

Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA

The new Rose E. Schneider Family YMCA in Cranberry Township, PA is truly state-of-the-art. Located on a 20-acre site, the 80,000 sq. ft. facility includes an indoor aquatics center with four pools, a fitness center, gymnasium, community rooms and a 12,000 sq. ft. wellness center. “The challenge was to design a building that illustrated the activities inside,” said Ralph Sterzinger, principal and project architect, Ross Schonder Sterzinger Cupcheck P.C., Wexford, PA. Featured on the exterior is 5,000 sq. ft. of Citadel Envelope 2000® metal composite panels.

Rosedale Transport

When it comes to working buildings, it’s tough to beat the pre-engineered metal building approach to construction. Metal buildings go up quickly and economically, and offer the flexibility to meet even the most precise design requirements. The recently completed Rosedale Transport building in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada serves as prime example. The 40,000 sq. ft. project was completed in November 2011 after 10 months of construction, utilizing a metal building system and components from Robertson Building Systems.
